Essential if you work on Japanese equipment — but don't confuse it with Phillips
I've had this set for around five years, using it primarily on Japanese appliances and RC cars. It does exactly what a JIS screwdriver set should — the fit is precise and you can drive screws properly without slipping or damaging heads, which is the whole point. The important thing to understand before buying is that JIS and Phillips look very similar but are not interchangeable. Using a Phillips driver on JIS screws (common on Japanese equipment) is typically what causes cam-out and damaged heads in the first place. These drivers solve that problem, but equally you shouldn't use them as a substitute for Phillips — they're purpose-specific tools. Five years in and the set is still in good condition. Good quality from Sealey and well worth having if you regularly work on Japanese-made products.

Worth a purchas for Japanese bikes and Cars
Makes such a massive difference when working on Japanese bikes. Only gave up and bought them when I didnt have time to find ones in Tokyo but again, glad I got them instead of going without them. Compared to using a philip's head on my Suzuki bike they stick into the original screws as if they were super glued.

Good quality screwdrivers
I needed JIS screwdrivers for working on old Japanese outboards. These feel well made and I expect they’ll last a long time.

Good quality
Quality bit of kit, essential for Japanese bikes, too many people chew up screw heads by using a pozi or phillips instead of these.

Make a real difference
I’ve been working on my various bikes for 30+ years. You can certainly do the job with Philips and/or Posidrive tools. But these actually make a huge difference and for the smallish cost, they’re well worth it. Wish I’d had more knowledge sooner. Short version…if you have a Jap bike, get a set. You’ll thank me (as I thank previous reviewers). Are they good quality screwdrivers in general? Honestly, I don’t really know as I’m not expert enough and have not used them enough yet. From the overall look of them they certainly seem reasonable and don’t give any bad vibes. Sealey is a very mixed bag as a brand and I know from experience they often slap their name on some very cheapo generic stuff and jack the price. But the price for these (£12.46 when I bought although no Amazon non-marketplace price available) seems very reasonable. Would be nice to have some sort of container, but I guess they go in a toolbox, drawer or rack so not essential. How do they make a difference? They grip far far better in Japanese screws than alternatives. On my Honda, I just used them to remove screws holding the screen and top fairing. In the past I’ve chewed these screws up slightly and had to be oh so careful to press firmly when undoing. I’ve now replaced the screws with genuine Honda ones (which are not pennies) and I’m pleased I can now look after them. That makes working on the bike much more enjoyable and removes a barrier to attempting some jobs. A big upgrade to your toolkit for not a lot of cash in my view.
