My KJV Bible was not easily read. I found I spent more time trying to understand the grammar, than the actual message. Now, with such a rich tapestry of reference and history, I can not only easily read G*d's word, I can understand it quickly. It's like sitting down with a warm cup of coffee and donut that I want to savor. Thank you for making this my go-to Bible and reference. Review: Nice Bible, even if a basic hardback cover, content and NLT is wonderful. - I also ordered this is a beautiful soft cover Bible, where the cover is so pretty and smooth/soft. This will be a review essentially of both. They were identical on the inside. I found from a few nights of using the soft back cover that the spine wasn't recovering well from being opened. I don't know if it would have have failed eventually, but that was also my concern of the hardback version too, that the spine covering of the hardback would crack. Also know, this is a thick and heavy Bible. The soft cover is flexible and requires you to hold it carefully so as to not let it flex too much and get away from you. The hardback was a little easier to handle. Overall, I chose to keep the hardback for it's ease in holding and the cheaper price. Regarding the content, the NLT translation is wonderful - my first time reading NLT and I'm definitely a fan, coming off of KJV and NKJV. I love the study content, although I'm still learning how best to use all of the info. I do admit that I first read my NKJV (a personal challenge to touch every page in that NKJV Bible) and then I move over and re-read it in the NLT. Of course this takes quite a bit of time to read it twice, then the study notes. For now, I'll continue, but I can easily see myself setting aside my NKJV for this one.

A true gift for the Believer.
I am a Messianic Jew, recently baptised and only five years a Believer. My KJV Bible was not easily read. I found I spent more time trying to understand the grammar, than the actual message. Now, with such a rich tapestry of reference and history, I can not only easily read G*d's word, I can understand it quickly. It's like sitting down with a warm cup of coffee and donut that I want to savor. Thank you for making this my go-to Bible and reference.

This is HEAVY.
I love this Bible. It has become my favorite daily devotional and, after having read other versions cover to cover, I am gaining understanding from the more modern language. BUT, I am "elderly" and the weight of this Bible is a major difficulty. I cannot carry it to my weekly Bible study. Why, oh why do they not publish this in Old and New Testaments. I would gladly pay a bit more to have separate Testaments which would be lighter and easier to manage. My husband agrees. He would even buy his own copies.

Love it
I love this Bible! I am finally able to actually sit down, read, meditate, study, and understand it. This Word has helped me to see God in a deeper level and having the background information, not only in regards to the cultural, but also historical aspects have been amazing! I also love how it gives you the breakdown of major characters of the Bible. With the help of the Holy Spirit, intentionality, and these extra breakdowns, I have deeper appreciation of God's character. I highly recommend this Bible.

Great Bible learning tool!
Great bible for anyone that wants to learn the Bible and has trouble understanding the scriptures. So much information including maps, foot notes, concordance, indexes and more!

THIS BIBLE I USE EVERYDAY!!! It really does a great job at breaking down the meaning of what is being said. it also has helpful maps and timelines I use often. I would recommend to anyone who may be struggling to understand the bible as well as a great book for a bible class/study group

Very usefulnin my Bible Study
It is easy to read but the pages is very thin

Poor manufacturing.
This has nothing to do with the content it’s just the Bible arrived poorly packaged, box was marked, the dust jacket a lot looked like it was rubbed a fair bit and the most disappointing thing is when I opened the Bible, the inner green patterned paper was not cut properly to the hard cover leaving a white tear like section at the bottom. As it was quite expensive for me and as I wanted it to be my primary Bible I did return for a refund. I will have to travel 800km to a large Christian bookstore to personally look at a copy there to ensure I get one that has been made carefully.

Great
Love this Bible. So easy to understand and many footnotes to explain the verses. Also many other resources like maps, charts and write ups before each new book. Highly recommend. It is quite large and bulky but is just in my bedroom by my reading chair. It’s not the type you would take to church.
