The only thing I dislike about this product is the battery life. I love to game on this laptop and it drains the laptop quickly only after5-7 hours. if you get this laptop I suggest getting MAX specs. I have the 15 inch 32 gig 2tb model and it works great. There is one problem that does bother me everyday. I noticed that whenever i am scrolling through webtoons or manga comics the screen will freeze for 1-4 seconds but if i switch to tablet mode it never does this. i figured if im going to spend 4200 bucks on a laptop it would not freeze for a second while scrolling through comics on the web. Overall this is the best electronic device I have ever owned. I would say if love gaming/drawing/reading/watching high quality youtube videos/zoom,discord,skype calls then i would say buy this device asap

I love my new laptop, has performed very well for me, whatever task I threw at it. One small complaint I have, and the only reason I have it is I paid a stupid amount for this thing so something this expensive should be pretty good. For some reason the wifi is kind of flaky, will bump me off at random intervals, I don't know why. The other thing i'm just a little worried about is the hinge/screen detach. But so far has worked great. I just wonder what will happen when that takes a dump. But as far as price? Just buy it already. I know, it's expensive, but so is everything else in the world. You'll hurt when you pay your credit card bill, but you'll be ok a week later.

My usual laptop is HP Spectre x360 or Macbook Pro. I decided last year to give a try to Microsoft Surface Book 3, opting for the high-end with 32 GB of RAM and 2 TB SSD. It was way too expensive (almost 3400 US dollars) but given it was fully manufactured by Microsoft, I thought the quality worthed the price. But I realized I was wrong: 1) The battery life is almost 2 to 2.5 hours using simple app like Excel alone. In the ad, they said 8-10 hours. 2) The screen was freezing erratically despite installing Windows Update. I took me some time to figure out how to sort out this issue. 3) The Speakers are almost not yielding any sound. The sound is anormally low despite putting the volume to 100%, which is not recommended. 4) A few weeks ago, the USB ports ceased to function one after another and now I cannot use any external hard drive on this VERY expensive piece of metals. 5) No respect for Warrenty: Microsoft Warrenty is supposed to start on the day I purchased this machine and end one year later. When trying to contact them, I was talked that my warrenty is already ended, less than a year period. In other words, the message I hear from Microsoft is "your money is already gone, leave us alone." Until I got help on this from Microsoft, I will never ever recommand somebody else to throw his/her money out of the windows to purchase such product.

I have never purchased a laptop that cost as much as this one. But I had a good feeling this was going to be it and last for a long time. After using this Surface 3 Laptop for a week, I have no doubt I did the right thing. Getting the 15" screen, the extra heavy RAM and storage space, I watch a football game on an extended portable screen and do my work on the main screen, and I feel like I'm really living! I am so pleased with this! The weight is not light, but the screen size is excellent. The thickness is what I expected for a 15" aluminum chassis. The screen is sharp and already the battery life is something to brag about. The keyboard is backlit and immaculate. I can use it as a tablet with my pen and carry it around. As tablets go, it is somewhat large. But I have absolutely no complains on this Microsoft Surface Book 3 512GB i7/32GB! I recommend it to anyone able to afford a Surface laptop at this price point!

have had surface tablets before that i loved, so when i had the money to purchase a new laptop it seemed like a no brainer. there are a couple of things i wish for that would make it truly outstanding. the bug that makes you have to restart often when switching from laptop to tablet node for proper orientatation is annoying. also that there are no protective cases for the 15" size. am paranoid to leave the house with it, which kind of defeats the purpose of a mobile computer. the top of my wish list for the system would be a way to still use the keyboard without the screen attached.

When I registered the device with Microsoft the warrantee was half used up. Amazon wasn't able to fix the error but after contacting MS customer service they quickly resolved the issue. This is the 4th solid state device I've purchased from MS, this one replaces a Surface Book 2 which has preformed well. I also have two Surface Pro 4's, I like this device the best, it's large RAM and HD are a necessity these days and the price was very reasonable. I hit the cycle just right and saved a bundle. My advice is to thoroughly search Amazon in multiple ways, including from google, to find the best price. I was able to save an additional $200 by searching from outside of Amazon even though the internal Amazon search didn't turn up the deal.

I was really scared after reading some of the latest reviews of this product but mine turned right on and let me set it up! It’s been working great!! 2 years later and still going strong!! March 2024

I read that the operating system was Windows Pro 10 not the Windows Home version. The shipping product I received included Windows Home. I had to purchase the Pro edition separately. Please be prepared for the additional expense which for me wiped out the savings that Amazon afforded. Otherwise this product fits my workflow perfectly. Note that I also added the Surface Precision Mouse and the Surface Pen as well as the aforementioned Pro OS.

I'm an interior designer and was mainly looking for a computer that was strong enough to handle 3d software and rendering as well as have the ability to use a pen as if writing on paper. Originally my intention was to have the option for sketching and writing notes, but as a user of a wacom tablet at my office, I use it for Photoshop as well. Unfortunately the surface pen capabilities for photoshop mean having to disconnect the keyboard, or flip the screen around which disable the keyboard, so in the end it makes that a laborious process, and harder to use photoshop without access to a keyboard. That said, using photoshop in laptop mode is great, and I'll have to live with my choice. Overall a great computer with good power. Working on it most of the day for all my sketching and note taking purposes, usually I have to recharge it daily, but still a good battery life.
