Quality, ease of use, great price point, perfectly cooked waffles
I made waffles for the first time with this machine today. I can tell you that anybody who put a negative review and says it overflows or does not cook in appropriate amount of time; that can’t be true. The cooking time for the waffle I made, the peanut butter stuffed waffle, was perfect. The waffle was easy to remove and did not overflow. I think overflowing can only happen if you don’t follow the directions on how to fill it. The waffle did not stick to the machine and all I had to do was wipe it down. This is a crazy, great machine, and I love it! You absolutely can’t beat the price point. I can’t wait to experience making all different kinds of stuffed waffles!

Really cool product
The biggest surprise to me after buying this was that pancakes and waffles use the SAME BATTER! PROs: ZERO learning curve. The only failure you may see is a first batch burned or undercooked. VERY forgiving. You do NOT need to be overly concerned about putting exact amounts of batter or filling in the device. Batter expands - but only as much as needed. You won't see batter exploding out of the sides as it cooks, and you won't find empty pockets when you open it up. When using "complete" batter mix, you don't need to measure anything. You can eyeball the mix and water. You know the general consistency you are looking for. Too thick? It still works. Too thin? It still works. And still tastes the same... I put A LOT of filling (chicken, cheese, avocado) in one batch and barely covered the top and bottom with batter. I thought for certain it would be a disaster. Let it go to 6 min and it came out perfect. Yes, top and bottom of waffle was pretty thin, but it still came out great. A recommendation: Don't be shy about adding sauces (i.e guac, mayo, mustard, etc) as part of the filling. Carefully layering sandwich ingredients into the waffle after bottom layer is poured is a NO NO! Instead, prepare your filling stack before adding any batter. That way you can pour the lower layer, immediately drop in the prepared stack, and pour batter over it. In fact, I spread some sauce on my layers as I pre-make them. Don't be concerned about getting filling too close to the round edge. When the batter cooks, it will expand and press the fillings into the center. Just leave enough room for SOME batter. VERY large serving. This makes a THICK waffle. Easily 2 servings. EASY cleanup - as in NO cleanup. Nothing sticks to this thing EASY storage - when you are done, flip it vertically, use the little locking device, and store it. So simple. Works with many filling types. Cold sliced cheese easily melts as a filling. CONs: $50 is a lot for this product. Cannot easily tell when it is done. Instructions recommends 8 minutes. I find 6 is fine. It will depend on how much filling you have and what type, Not for use with raw eggs - need to cook them before adding as a filling. This is probably the biggest con. It can be tricky to remove a filled waffle from the unit. You will have a habit of trying to use the side tongs as "tongs". The waffle will easily slip out of their grasp. I put a paper plate upside down on top of the waffle and flip the oven over, letting the waffle fall on to the plate. Once removed from the unit, let the waffle cool on a plate, flipping it every minute or so. If you don't you will end up with a very soggy waffle on top (from the steam) and on the bottom (from filling fluid soaking through).

Warning: May cause waffle obsession and sudden need for a treadmill.
Okay, confession time: I was 100% suckered into buying this by social media hype. I didn’t need a stuffed waffle maker, but I did need a present for my wife… and now I’m considering getting a treadmill because she’s turned into a full-on Stuffler addict. “What’s for dinner?” has turned into “What kind of waffle are you making this time?” We’ve tried it all: sweet, savory, and sometimes both in one night (because you obviously need dessert after dinner, right?). Cheese in an egg-heavy waffle? A+ texture with a gooey surprise. Frozen blueberries and chocolate chips mixed through the batter? The kind of sinful that used to get you scolded by nuns. I even reheated leftover pizza slices in it—they came out hot, bubbly, and covered in little waffle dents, and now I might be ruined for microwaves forever. A few things to know before you go full mad scientist: There is a learning curve. Cold batter? Center comes out undercooked. Bring it to room temp and you’ll be happier. The ring around the waffle doesn’t get direct heat, so don’t judge doneness by the color there—go by what’s actually touching the plates, or you’ll end up burning it. No temp control. It’s either on, or off, and how long you leave it in is everything. This is a “great device,” not a smart device. The nonstick surface is actually nonstick, and it’s super easy to clean if you wipe it down while it’s still warm (not hot—don’t torch your fingers, and unplug first!). Already plotting fish cakes next, because even I have my waffle limits (or so I keep telling myself). Final verdict: Four stars. I’d give it 3.5 if Amazon let me—three feels unfair, but it’s not quite perfect either. If you’re the type to lose interest in a new kitchen gadget after two days, this might gather dust. But if you’re a kitchen alchemist who loves experimenting and doesn’t mind a bit of trial and error, you’ll have a blast with it. Bonus: High protein waffle mix helps, but don’t expect this thing to make your abs for you.

Shazamm! Pocket filled anything!
LOVE THIS THING. Only had it two weeks. Blueberry waffles, egg bacon waffles, sausage pizza, peporoni pizza, and ham/cheese suffed pockets. THE HAM AND CHEESE POCKETS are worth the price alone. So easy to use and fill waffles with anything you can think of. I make 10 of each type at a time and freeze them. Thaw in microwave and air fry for couple minutes if you want crisp.

Fantastic product
It's nice to buy a product that just works, and does everything it's supposed to do without any headaches. This waffle maker is so simple and functional that it's easily the best one I've ever used. Right out of the box I noticed that it has a nice heft to it, it feels very well-made and exceeded my expectations. It's extremely simple to use - you plug it in, wait 10 minutes for it to fully preheat, pour in your batter/toppings, flip, and 7-8 minutes later you have a delicious waffle. I've tried a few now and the results are always consistent - crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, always fully-cooked. I'm especially impressed with the nonstick surface, I really had to wrap my head around the idea of *not* coating the cooking plates with any oil/spray, but my waffles really do come out perfectly golden-brown and with absolutely no sticking at all. The tongs are easily my favorite aspect of the whole machine. There's something so satisfying about using them, they lift out the waffles perfectly and they're just as high -quality as the rest of the machine. Plus I'm always a fan of space-saving design, so the fact that the tongs are designed to be stored inside of the waffle maker is just fantastic. The machine does have a couple of quirks: for starters, it has an LED light which indicates when it's plugged in, but unlike other waffle makers, its color doesn't change when the machine is preheated. Feels like an odd omission, but I don't really mind since it's easy enough to just set a 10-minute timer. I do wish that the inner cooking plates could be removed for deeper rinsing/cleaning, but the nonstick surface wipes clean with a damp towel which is easy enough (I just think the option to remove the plates would be nice, to rinse them with water when needed, but this also hasn't really been a problem). A bigger flaw is that the machine has no locking mechanism, so when you flip it, you have to make sure you're holding it tightly to prevent any leakage. This hasn't been a problem whatsoever so far, and not a drop of batter has dripped on my counter while using this thing. But I would definitely appreciate it if the machine could be fully locked close, not only during flipping, but also while storing it away as well. There's a little latch to hold the machine in place vertically, which is great, but it doesn't create an airtight seal like many other appliances. Just for the sake of being able to keep the inside of the waffle maker free from dust/pests/etc, I really wish it included a lock. I hope that if Presto ever iterates on this design, that's the first change they make. Thankfully, none of those gripes really affect my opinion of this waffle maker. It's just extremely high-quality. It sets out to do one kitchen task and it accomplishes that task again and again with perfectly consistent results. This is easily one of my favorite appliances and I emphatically recommend it.

Making Waffles fun
this thing is awesome! If you have seen a video, it works just like that. The 1st waffle you can open the lid and it comes out perfectly. It makes a large enough stuffed waffle, so 2 to 4 people can eat it. The 2nd waffle you make, the metal gets hot. Like burn your finger hot. The tongs get warm, but you can grab them, and they open up fairly easily. With a little bit of trying different recipes you can create an amazing waffle based meal or snack. You MUST FOLLOW the measurements in the directions for it to work. I made a egg, cheese and bacon waffle my first time. 2nd time, i screwed up and did not have enough waffle batter, so my peach waffle, although tasted great, was messy. It will cool down pretty quickly. I am not one for internet things, but this grabbed my attention and I am glad I got it. Next will be a pizza waffle.

Great Machinr, Except for ...
I was so excited about this product, I couldn't wait to use it. Then my hubby of 51+ years got sick, and it had to wait. I finally got to use it a few days ago. The waffles were cooked great, I made waffles out of biscuit batter, and the stuffing was sausage and eggs. I then put country gravy over the top. My disappointment was that no matter what there is a gap at the back of it that the batter comes out and it is very hard to clean. The ring/handle doesn't stay down while you are poring the batter and leaks each time. I have started to put a piece of parchment paper there so that the batter goes there instead of the hot waffle maker, but it isn't that great of a solution. I like everything else about this maker, the size of the waffles, it's footprint in storage, and I like that it is black. The waffles are crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle. I have made cake waffle for the grandkids, regular ones for the hubby, and both sweet dessert and main dish waffles. I just wish it wasn't so messy and that Presto had responded to my communication.

Really bad
First thing, the appliance is only 120v. Secondly, the batter needs to be in the correct consistency, otherwise expect your waffle batter to run all over the place. Best to follow the provided recipes. Lastly, the batter never cooks through even if I leave it for 20+ minutes, which I think is a side effect of having thick batter. Do yourself a favour and skip, there's far better waffle makers out there for a lot cheaper.

Awesome waffle maker
My husband wanted this waffle maker for Christmas. It works awesome and the stuffed waffles are delicious. We have made some with fresh blueberries and some with a bit of cubed ham and shredded cheddar cheese. The waffles turn out great. We will be trying out a few more variations of filling next time. It it easy to handle and clean. Would definitely recommend.
