Ick! Would be embarrassed to give this to my grandkids. Not amusing, just ick!
So glad I had this delivered to me instead of directly to my granddaughter! It had sounded like a creative and entertaining book for early teens. Such a disappointment! ICK factor 10! The examples were questionable to disgusting. One practice scenario was creating a coded message about the person's uncle whose onion breath smelled like a mouth fart. I'm not kidding.......see above photo. Another was a young girl arranging to meet a guy friend after school to talk about her secret romantic feelings for another girl. Really? It couldn't be to plan a surprise birthday party or work on a skit for the talent show? This book missed the mark for me. Too complicated for grade school kids and just ICK for everybody.

Fun for kids!
Bought my daughter and her best friend this book when her best friend moved to another state so they could have fun writing secret code letters to each other. Super fun!

The book I received has been pretty extensively used by a previous owner. Really disappointing because this was supposed to be a birthday present for a child.

Daughter seems to like it so far. Seems to like her novels more though, but does use it with friends.
