Great improvement to home networking
Given the minimal discussion of this topic, I found it pretty difficult to figure out how to set up my MOCA network when I set everything up as instructed and nothing worked. I literally had three separate Comcast technicians look at my new house to troubleshoot issues, and all three told me that MOCA is BS, makes no sense conceptually, and is just a marketing gimmick to sell devices like this. They were all 100% wrong, and as I write this, I have a functional MOCA throughout my house. But I hit some a few frustrating speed bumps along the way before I got my system up and running.In short, MOCA is a plug-and-play solution for using coaxial cable outlets in a room to provide a hardline ethernet internet connection. You can plug it directly into computers/TVs in those rooms in the same manner that you'd plug them directly into your router with a hardline connection, or can alternatively use it for WiFi extenders to expand coverage throughout the house. MOCA is significantly (think 2-3x) faster and more reliable than WiFi. If you're happy with your WiFi, no need to bother with this setup, but I'm glad that I did.In my experience, these adapters themselves are trivial to set up. You plug in the power, connect the coaxial cable from the wall to the adapter, and run an ethernet cable from the adapter to whatever you want to put on the Internet. That's it. The hard part is finding and eliminating the network bottlenecks in the system. My biggest issue was finding all of the cable splitters in my new house and installing the correct replacements, since the right kind of splitter for MOCA (i.e., splitters allowing high enough frequencies in the MOCA range such as up to 2300 MHz) are not standard equipment provided by ISPs like Comcast and need to be purchased separately. This will not work otherwise. Long story short, I had a couple different splitters hidden in different locations in my new house, and until I found them all, the MOCA system was entirely nonfunctional.I'll also note that I'm using an Xfinity XB-7 gateway (modem/router combo) with built-in MOCA support, which means I didn't need to use one of these adapters with my router. If you're in a similar boat and have a MOCA-capable router, make sure you actually enable MOCA mode on the router. You can look up how to do that online (e.g., search for how to change the settings on your Xfinity router).All of the above is, of course, just talking about my experience with MOCA generally. I'm not in a position to compare different adapters, but this product does exactly what it says it will do and provides high-speed internet all over the house via the coaxial outlets. That's a 5/5 in my book.

Clean and simple solution - Adds 3ms to your ping, but amazing throughput and flexibility!
Love these devices. I own 3 of the 2.5Gbps.I have a single MoCA connected in the basement to my data center switch, another on the 1st floor connected to a wifi AP, and another on the 2nd floor connected to a switch in my office.These devices were a no brainer to setup - simply plug and play. Only caveat being that they will add around a 3ms ping time. That's it. Otherwise just as good as regular CAT6 on the throughput.I opted for the 2.5Gb/s adapters even though I'm only running 1Gb/s switches for potential network upgrades in the future. The speedtests are machine to machine, but these devices will maximize your WAN circuit with similar results.I'm not a gamer, but these devices are perfect for remote work, Zoom, FaceTime, streaming etc-- 0 issues! I can imagine if you're a hardcore gamer the 3ms latency may be a turnoff, but that's for you to decide. Super good value for the money and saved a ton of time fishing cables through drywall.

Give more steady speed conpare to wifi
I attached this to the old coxial cable coming thorugh the wall, the coxial cable was too old and not even cat 5 so was not expecting any good speed, this connection was very easy and once I powered this device the signal started showing internet and I hooked for TV, the thing I noticed is the speed It gave was steady throughout the day like 125 mbps upload and 95 download, conpare to wifi was giving variable speed during each time I tested between 45mbps to 75 mbps upload and 25mbps to 50 mbps download max. This device worked well to keep all steady connection and pulled a good speed put of old coaxial.

Mostly works
I have three of these - a pair purchased in 2021 and a single one bought in April of 2023.My installation is pretty simple, three nodes on dedicated RG6 coax with a MoCA rated splitter. No cable modem on the coax, just the three nodes. One has a gaming PC, one an Apple TV and one into a gigabit managed switch.The two originals have worked without much issue since installation. They require a reboot every so often, roughly once every 6 months, but theyโre generally reliable enough.The third and newest adapter stopped working after 13 months. No amount of resets or troubleshooting seems to make any difference.I think theyโre good enough when running twister pair Ethernet is not an option, and theyโre certainly better than wireless for my use.Very easy install, completely plug and play.

MoCA is underrated and this product Just Works
Want to do a bunch of cable fishing and run Ethernet in your home? No you don't. Already got coax cable wiring in your home? Maybe you do!This is the gizmo for you. There are others, maybe they work too, but I use this one and it's great. Using it with my fiber Internet, I get full, honest to goodness gigabit (like, speedtest.net says 980 down, 970 up) all the way to a back cottage where I have an office. Wifi won't even do that next to the access point, and don't even talk to me about powerline networking.You can use the MPS thing for security, but I'm not worried about people tapping my coax (and I don't have cable TV service) so I just plugged it in, connected the Ethernet and off it goes. No config, no tuning, no dorky little web interface, just a pure torrent of beautiful data.Note, I use this in point to point mode (two of them connected by a few hundred feet of coax), haven't tried multipoint with splitters, but I hear that works great too.

Does Exactly what it says it will do.
Works as advertised. Makes it extremely easy to get that High Speed internet to otherwise unreachable areas. I used it to run internet to my downstairs media (TV, Roku, U-verse Box) Ran Ethernet from the 2nd device to a 4 port switch, no issues.On a side note, my home was a new build that never had the cable company come to the home to do their thing, so all my cable runs are just blank ends in the cable box outside. Luckily the downstairs cable were all attached to it worked fine. You just have to make sure that the cabling isnt seperated Something else I read about is the type of splitter that needs to be used...I beleive this is more important in the box outside of your home where all the cable wire runs meet. Fact Check me though. Im no expert, but I wanted to pass along some issues to try if you are running into problems getting them to work.

Works great until it doesn't, perfect solution if you don't mind power cycling it periodically
I have cat5 where I live but not in every room; I'm using 2 actiontecs to setup a moca network for my xbox and tivos.The connection is great, decent throughput and no flapping or any intermittent issues, except every so often - a few days, weeks, but fairly frequently - the coax network fails. There is no way to troubleshoot this - the rest of my network(s) work great, but the coax connection fails. I try rebooting all the device individually, verifying they are showing up on my networking configs, etc. The only thing that fixes it is unplugging the Actiontec on either end of the line and plugging it back in.This is a giant PITA since these things are literally a black box. My network doesn't see them, and when they fail there is still a little green light on the black box saying everything is cool. I don't know if it's the cable tv frequency shift that's causing it to fail randomly, or what. I wish I could figure it out, but I can't.But it works as long as I reboot it. Wish I had something that was as reliable as my Fios MOCA router (sad to say), because it never had this issue. I got rid of my Fios router for this, and only use this for the MOCA component I needed to replace, and it fails periodically.

Very good.
Works very well. After trying a pair, I now have multiple units throughout the house. Hardwired connection is always much better than wifi. A little expensive but well worth it for my application.

Reliable and easy to install
Just plug it in and it'll work. At my home there are no Ethernet outlets, but coax is in every room. This device works perfectly, delivers high speed and has no issues.

Did not come with splitter but it works good!
UPDATE: Was able to purchase a splitter and the adapter is now working flawlessly with my moca capable router. I was also able to set it up in the room I needed it in. It brings me a wired internet connection from my basement to my upstairs computer easily. Set up was simple. The device has been reliable so far with no lost packets or disconections. Upgraded to 3 stars for the device working perfectly as it should. Docking 2 stars for not including the promised splitter.Did not come with the splitter in the box. Haven't been able to get it to work with my router yet. Unsure if it needs the splitter or not. pretty disappointed about the splitter being missing. Gonna have to go pick one up to make it work in the room I want. 1 star until I can get this baby to work.
