my favorite cooler to date
I would take this k2 cooler over yeti any day because yeti is over priced plastic brick that does its job but for 3xs the cost. This k2 is a brick too but 1/3 of cost. Has lasted all day in the sun in my car middle of summer in Las Vegas when its 115F out 130F+inside the car. Winter it could last all week no prob. Great padded carry strap better then a solid handle because this is a brick but no more than anything else. If only this had a drain plug because although it isnt a deal breaker it can be a pain to clean without a stretchy faucet in kitchen lol 1yr later and holds ice as long as my coworkers yeti in 115F outside temp 130-135F in the car at least. but i can put 1 full bag of ice and everything i need for 2 days out in nevada desert and still have some left could probably get 3-4 days with ice packs or blocks. Granted its at least 130F in the car when i go to lunch.

I definitely recommend this product!
This is a great cooler. It's a good size for short trips and keeps things cold for several days in conjunction with my medium sized cooler shock ice packs. The cooler looks and functions great. I love the shoulder strap too it makes it so easy to carry compared to the handles that most other cooler have. I would definitely recommend this cooler to anyone who is in the market for a high end quality cooler.

Stop reading and buy this one!
This is an amazing cooler, yes it dose keep ice. I got 3 days of ice retention with mine in 85 degrees. My cover was in the bed of my truck undee the black bed cover. I did pre cool this cooler. I own several k2 coolers and will stick with them

Nice cooler
It's a good size for what we needed. Still a little heavy for me to carry loaded. Kept our drinks cold overnight. Compared to my Pelican ice chest the lei an is better, but this works good enough.

Highly robust, excellent seat, stays cool
Transportation electrician, outdoor work. Looking for something to keep my lunch and drinks cool and also need a seat while eating. Works great. Ultra robust and sturdy. Built to last. In SoCal and the blue ice is still solid when I get home, albeit “winter” now. A bit bulky, heavy, a tad too much capacity for a daily lunch cooler. I’ll take that inconvenience for a great seat. Weight and bulkiness needed for the strength and good thermodynamic properties. Height is good, but wish K2 would reduce the length and width to reduce capacity. Soft strap awesome vs a rigid handle.

Save your money!
I had this for a little while before finally using. My anticipation for having cold drinks in my car was over the moon. Unfortunately this cooler did nothing more than my Coleman cooler does, except cost and weigh a whole lot more than the Coleman. I filled it with ice on Saturday morning and by Sunday morning, I had water. Yes it was outside but so is my Coleman. I absolutely would not recommend this to anyone, unless they only cost about $30. Realizing that it was 100+ outside I decided to try the tumbler, I know that was stupid but what the heck. I bought the K2 tumbler and tried it against the $10 large Ozark Trail tumbler and all of the ice in the K2 was gone in about 6 hours while the Walmart version still had ice the next morning, they were both in my car all night long. Ok, so I decided to test again with the smaller $8 Ozark Trail tumbler to have a more even product type. In my house with the AC on, the K2 started melting right away, within an hour. By 6 hours in the house, there was no ice. The Ozark Trail tumbler still had almost all of the ice. and still did the next morning. I bought 3 of the Walmart tumblers and can assure you the K2s will probably never be used again. My friend tried the Ozark Trail against the Yeti and had the same results that I did. I just don't get the hype here.

Love it, and would recommend it to anyone.
Excellent value. Looked at all of teh reviews first, and went with the K2 Summit 20 with price being the main factor. Have only had it out for an extra long weekend, and bag of ice put in it Friday afternoon, still had floating ice on Monday Monday evening. I had pre-chilled the cooler, and all of the cans that went into it.... except 6 bottles of beer added at room temp. Cooler worked as well as I had hoped. The only downside of this cooler, as with all of these Roto-Molded ones is their initial dry weight... but the strap on this model really helps moving it around, along with good size edges for hands to grip.

Wrong color shipped by Amazon
The cooler itself is great. It kept ice for over 3 days, however Amazon shipped the wrong color and I ended up with the ugly green color instead of the nice gray one I ordered. Unfortunately we were going a trip where needed this cooler, and there was not enough time to return and order another one. So we used it and now I'm stuck with this ugly green cooler
