This Double E Volvo RC Dump Truck toy is a great entry level RC dump truck. My 6 year old son loves playing with RC cars and recently discovered RC construction vehicles. The controls are fairly self explanatory with photo labels for the raise and lower dump bed functions. The articulation turning took some getting used to because it doesn't snap back to straight like a regular RC car. But I think that's a realistic difference, so not a complaint. The dump mechanism works well and seems strong enough for the toys, sand, mulch and other lighter materials something this size would reasonable be expected to carry and dump.The battery life is decent. My son played with it for about an hour with other toys. It wasn't running the whole time because he was filling it with mulch, or digging with another toy, but it worked the whole time. It does shut itself off after a little bit which preserves battery life.One feature I really appreciate is the ability to turn off the engine sound. It's very authentic and sounds a lot like a construction site, but it is nice to be able to play with it in the living room and not have it always sound like a construction site :-) .I'll list the following as opportunities for improvements, but I suspect most of them would be addressed in the next tier up in toy lineup.It is not super powerful. This works great on hard floors and low carpets, it's not built for off-roading. The power only comes from the back 2 tires, so if they get off the ground, it's stuck. We tried to build a little ramp out of plywood for it to back up and unload it's contents into a container. It didn't really have enough power for the incline (about 15 degrees over a 5 foot stretch).We discovered the ability to turn off the sound came by pressing and holding the horn button. I'm assuming this is spelled out in the instructions, but I didn't notice it in my 10 second review of them. With all of the other images explaining the functions on the remote, it would be nice to see a sound mute icon or something.Overall we really like this truck. My son loves learning and figuring out how things work and this has been an awesome addition to our RC fleet!

Great RC construction toy.Very good quality for the price. The Volvo remote control truck has nice details, solid materials, and responds well to the controller. The battery life is decent and the operation is smooth, both indoors and outdoors.It is fun, easy to use, and works exactly as described. I would recommend it for kids and also for adults who enjoy construction models.

Great quality and very fun to play withI bought this RC dump truck a few days ago and I’m very impressed. The build quality is solid and durable, and it doesn’t feel cheap at all. The remote control works smoothly, the lights are a nice touch, and the dumping function works realistically and easily.The only downside is that the truck’s battery is a bit small, but aside from that everything works great. The wheels are made of good quality material and have nice grip.It’s very entertaining for kids, and even adults will enjoy playing with it. For the price, it’s absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

One star taken for delivery frustration. Was promised at a certain time and not delivered on time.Truck is awesome! It makes every sound I was hoping for. If treated gently it will last. Plastic gears means don’t be a dummy with it!I love this purchase so much! Delivery needs to improve.

At this price best RC dumper out there - light, horn, sound all very good

Purchased this truck for the Grandson to go with a RC excavator. Very realistic with sound, turn signals, lights and back-up warning beeper. The size is comparable with the excavator and work well together. The remote control has an ignition button to start and stop the truck, which means you can’t turn off the sound. One issue is only the far rear tires have traction so when you go over something, like a little hill, the far rear tires come off the ground and spin. Depending on the surface you’re on you can eliminate this issue if you can go fast. Battery life seems good, but I didn’t exhaust the initial charge because of a problem I had with the dump bed not always going down. However, I created a return label on Saturday afternoon, dropped off at a return center on Sunday and had a new truck Monday. Ready awesome toy; hope this one lasts because the Grandson and I really want to keep this truck. Five stars, even though we had a problem it’s a great toy and customer service was outstanding.

Cool product. Bought it for the beach, but with it being super light and only 6x2 wheel drive (rear driven wheels) made it sub-ideal for the terrain.Easy to use and would be great for indoors or on concrete—anywhere with flat, solid surfaces.

This RC dump truck is a hit. Our 6 year old son plays with it regularly. Remote is intuitive for his age. Despite hauling numerous loads and crashes, it has held up great. The only downside is the noise, which can be tough when he wants to play with it during siblings nap time. However, overall it's a great toy for value.
