Bamboo Tofu Press

I bought this press specifically to make homemade cheese, even though it’s marketed as a tofu press, and it has worked great for that purpose. It applies even pressure and is easy to adjust, which is ideal for fresh and soft cheeses. It’s compact and easy to store, much more practical than bulky traditional cheese presses. Cleaning is simple and overall it’s very easy to use. This is a great option.

This is a really good tofu press. Easy assembly, easy to clean. Worked terrific. Love this thing!!!

It works better without all the hardware. Just enlarge one of the holes and use one of the rods. That way you can just swing away the to, plop in the tofu from the tub, swing the top back, and press it. No need for a second rod. No need for the wing nuts. The holes are too tight to just push the top down, and using the screws is WAY too tedious. So I drilled out the hole larger and made it a lot easier to use. If using it with all that excessive hardware, I would rate this a two, but with my adaptation, it's fine.

I love this tofu press! The water trapping is a great mechanism. Sometimes it’s difficult to put the tofu in because you have to hold up the top with one hand and put the tofu in with the other, but otherwise this is great. I only need to turn it every so often, and I usually I also drain the water midway.

probably takes a bit more effort to manually tighten it but great for those who want to reduce or omit use of plastics.

I love that I found a tofu press in bamboo! It’s pretty easy to work with. It does a great job pressing. The only thing I would say could be improved is if they had a metal ring for the screws to go through. It’s a little difficult to maneuver the pieces together with the metal screws against the bamboo. But other than that, it’s fantastic.

It will press... your patience mostly. You'll be constantly twisting the screws on this little tofu torture device. Good luck resetting it. One side would always stick up on me and I would have to threaten it to get it to even back out. I tried, really really tried but I couldn't take it and just threw it in the trash.

Awesome. It’s become my favorite kitchen tool! If you want the tofu extra dry, I was able to remove 1/2 cup of water from extra firm tofu.Be sure to place the press on top of a container such as a cookie sheet or in the sink since the water soaks through porous wood beyond the bottom tray.Unbelievably great customer support just as they say in the card enclosed!!! I discovered part of the reason water soaks through fast is a hairline crack extending through length of bottom tray. I informed them with pics and I received a replacement tray.

We bought that to improve our original way (hand-press) of squeezing the liquid out of a brick of tofu; this works great and is a faster way to get tofu ready for a recipe. Highly recommend !

Super Tofu-Presse

Very effective and looks much nicer than the plastic ones on the market.

Die Presse tut was sie soll und sieht dabei gut aus. Bisher hat sich das Holz nicht verzogen, auch wenn, das Tofu-Wasser mal etwas länger in der Auffangschale steht. Der Auffangbehälter ist dicht und das ganze Gerät lässt sich recht einfach reinigen.Das der Tofu in irgendeiner Weise den Geschmack annimmt, konnte ich nicht beobachten. Da wir viel asiatisch kochen, wäre das aber auch nicht so schlimm. eine kleine Bambus-Note ist gar nicht so verkehrt und das Holz riecht echt gut und natürlich.

I am somewhat sensitive to chemical smells and this had a strong chemical smell so I was unable to use it even after washing it many times.The seller refunded me without any hassle.
