Great part!!
Exactly what I needed!! Our new front door had a bad draft underneath and this part fixed it up perfectly. Easy to install, looks great inside and out. The cover over the screws is an added bonus, looks like an original part of the door

Extraordinarily effective
I've had this installed for about 4 months now. Summary: It was an extremely good purchase. Enough for me to write this review. This was for a garage side door that had about a 3/4" gap between the sill and the bottom of the door. The garage is heated and it is where we sleep our dogs. I had tried other door skirts and was getting resigned to needing a Door Sock, which you have to move and place each time your open the door. But then I tried this one. What a difference. The temperature in the garage jumped to within 1 degree of the main house, even in sub-freezing weather. Older, less effective sweeps would let the garage fall 6-8 degrees below the house; you could feel the cold getting in, and it was from that door gap.Installation was straightforward. The height is easily adjustable and covers a very wide range, easily closing my gap problem. The multiple bottom seals are very effective and were set to be just-the-right-snug, offering extra protection against pests, which was a bonus. But the big win was stopping the cold air drafts. This item was worth the extra cost. It's hard to quantify in engineering terms, but I''ll bet this sweep is 10x more effective at stopping drafts than cheaper single sweep solutions due to the better fit and seals. At least for me.And my dogs stay warm. Yay!

Directions: Fit onto your door before screwing in
Pic1: My prior fin sweep gathered water, partially rotting the bottom of the door and swelling it's width, preventing the new KS hardware sweep from fitting properly.**NOTE: The wider side of the sweep screws into the INTERIOR of the door.Pic2: Luckily, I had an identical exterior door to my 3-season porch that was in perfect condition, so I swapped them. After removing the old sweep from the porch door, this sweep fit perfectly over the bottom of the door. BUT, sliding on plastic screw cover was VERY difficult (my wife couldn't do it) so DEFINITELY use WD40 or lubricant to make it easier.Pic3: After installing the new door and sweep, I realized there was a slight gap between the bottom of the door and threshold. As such, I STRONGLY recommend fitting this onto your door BEFORE screwing it in. **In hindsight, I'd close the door firmly, push down the sweep so it's tightly sealed against the threshold and then mark the screw holes. Then, I'd take the door off the hinges (again), put weather stripping in the gap between the bottom door and new sweep, then screw it perfectly in place, then lubricate the slide-on screw cover, slide it on and, finally, put the door back on the hinges....I solved my problem by unscrewing the rubber floor threshold, inserting some vinyl/rubber weather strips under it to raise it up 1/4", then screwed it back down so the new sweep fit snuggly against the threshold. Now, it's working well and preventing drafts.

Best one I have bought.
Easy on, works very well, going on two years now. If I have to buy another one I will get this one again.

Nice quality
… but, I wish they wouldn’t have cut the outside so short. This is for our inside door leading to garage. Was not able to use the rain guard part to cover up how short they cut the other side. Had to drill new holes since it doesn’t line up with the original holes. It makes the door hard to close even pushed all the way up. The contractors who built our home put the door in super crooked since they also didn’t put the drywall in straight the door frame is not square. We added new hinges and new insulation plus this. Outside of machining issues and being cut too short on one side, it still looks better than what the contractors who built it gave us. Hoping over time the rubber compresses a bit so we can close the door normally again. It seems to help with drafts but is really a tight fit and makes the door hard to close.

Fits 36" door perfectly
I just now put this on the bottom of my door. I'm impressed a 36" door sweep for 36" door does not need to be trimmed. I think this might be the only one I've ever done without a trim required. There were even notches for the weatherstripping.

High quality and easy installation no need to cut
None of the big box stores carry an underfoot bottom seal for extra wide doors (43 inch). This high quality bottom fit my door perfectly without cutting. Installation was a breeze, under 10-15 minutes.Couple of tips:1. Once your old guard has been unscrewed from your door, use a Flathead screwdriver to unstick your old guard by hitting it (not the door) from the top so that it comes out easily.2. I agree with most reviewers that sliding the screw cover over the installed bottom is difficult and almost impossible without damaging it once only a 2 or 3 feet are left to slide. However this simple tip will help you do it safely in no time (see picture) :Grab a block of wood and line it up against the protruding end of the screw cover and use a hammer to hit the block against the cover a few times to get it perfectly aligned. You will be amazed at how quickly this safely gets the job done. You do not need to hit the piece of wood too hard, a gentle hit gives it that homogenous push that is required to finish the job.3. Use a piece of cloth and put about a quarter size amount of Vaseline in it and rub it a bit. With the door open, evenly distribute the Vaseline around the rubber part of the bottom, making sure you do two passes with the same cloth (no extra Vaseline needed), don't miss the edges. This will ensure your door opens and closes nicely without excessive friction. Finally, I am glad I replaced my 14 year old bottom guard with a product that seems to be of much better quality (time will tell). I can say this is a much more energy efficient solution. The insulation it provides is readily visible and it feels like it when my door is being closed you feel it's sealed from the exterior elements which is key in cold Canadian winters.

Like a glove
I've gone through a few of the flapping fin solutions from a local store. The last time I bought two of them and just used the second one after only two years with the first. The second one started to give up almost immediately. It's almost like the rubber atrophied and within the days I could see the fins breaking off and dragging on the floor. So frustrating. I feel like the standard for sweep is built with find that are just too long for the gap under my door, but there's no option B.Initially I hated the price on this one but the minute I got it installed in the door I realized it fit like a glove. There was no longer any resistance at all when I opened or closed the door but the seal was absolutely perfect. Magic. I didn't even have to trim anything at all... Maybe the Amazon elves came and measured my door before shipping.Worth every penny.

Expensive but it works
Tried to find something similar at the big box stores but everything had low ratings. You can cut this to size if your door is less than 36 inches. The screws provided are good quality and the bottom weather stripping is a flexible rubber I believe. You can adjust the height via the screws on how low or high you want it. The cover provides a nice finish to hide the screws. I used a little WD40 on the bottom because the door seal which was very good created a hard door to open. Once I sprayed the seal with a little WD40 it made it a lot more flexible. Too bad they do not list a replacement seal for future maintenance

Works great!
I recently received the KS Hardware Adjustable Double Bubble Door Sweep and I am beyond impressed with its performance. The installation was quick and easy and the adjustable feature allowed me to get a perfect fit for my door. The double bubble design is very effective in blocking out drafts, dust, and noise. I have noticed a significant reduction in air leaks and a noticeable increase in energy efficiency. The material is durable and well-made and it has held up perfectly despite daily use. I love the sleek design, it looks great on my door and does not detract from its appearance. I highly recommend this door sweep to anyone looking for an effective and affordable solution to reducing energy costs and improving indoor comfort. It is a 5-star product!
