Worked right out of the box, which honestly never happens. I have three Apple TV 4Ks, and the one I use for travel still has the old trackpad remote. I can't stand it. I was given an older Sony Bravia tv (model: KDL-40EX400) that a friend just had sitting in the basement collecting dust. I was contemplating buying a smart tv for my bedroom when this was offered and I took it assuming I could plug a Roku into it and get the smart functionality (I don’t have cable but I do have some streaming services). The tv worked great, but it didn’t come with a remote which meant that I couldn’t access the HDMI ports; and, yes, I tried using the buttons on the tv. I ordered this remote because it said it would work with any Bravia but was hesitant because the tv is circa 2010. It arrived well packaged and as described (without batteries), and worked with my tv flawlessly. I plugged a couple things into the hdmi port and the remote immediately recognized them. The remote is fairly big considering standard remote sizes but it’s not an issue. It’s fast with no delay from pushing the button to action and I was able to turn off the tv from another room so it didn’t need to be pointing at the tv so the range is fairly good (especially considering you used to need to align sensors). Plus, the price point made it virtually risk free to try it… I’d buy this remote again for sure. It feels very durable.

Everything basic works as expected but there are a few things that this remote can’t do. Like double clicking home button dosnt allow you to close apps. Feels quality.

Worked excellent on tv

I was making due with my old remote (buttons didnt work) and finally looked for a replacement. This looked the closest to the old one and was so inexpensive. I recieved 2.
