No way!, my son is 6 years old, first time seeing him getting the ball and put it on the batting tee, he got so excited to try to do it better and beat his own record!. We have been using it for almost a week now and I can see progress, specially when he do something good and he wants to do it better. I totally recommend this tool, because the kids can have a real feed back with colors and number which push them to do it better. Also, you can upload a screenshot of the session in one of the ChatGPT or any other AI and it will read the numbers and provide you with drills and links how to improve specific areas, so you don't really need to understand every single data

I am writing this review because this is borderline false advertising. What the product details do not tell you is that the apps used with this product operate on a paid subscription model. You must be aware of the ongoing, recurring costs of using this product. TL;DR: There is a $72/year subscription fee, so the true cost of this product for the first year is $221 (149 + 72). Be aware. If you're buying this product to use through middle and high school, like I was, then the total cost ends up somewhere close to $700 range. Had I known this upfront, I would have considered other options. I bought this product in May 2025 and used it with satisfaction because, at the time, the app had a completely free option. You didn’t get all the premium features, but you could still practice daily and access basic stats, which were super useful for my son as we were just getting into baseball. Things like swing speed, attack angle, and time to initiate contact were exactly what we needed. I was a satisfied customer. You might think the 1-star review I’m giving is harsh, but the real issue is trust. Back in May, when I discovered the app had a monthly subscription to unlock more advanced data, I was disappointed—but I accepted it. I had paid a one-time fee for the device to use its basic features. Well, that option has now been taken away. I must subscribe, or I only get data for 10 swings per day. In other words, the device I paid for back in May has lost a lot of its value—it's like I paid a $149 entry fee just to get a sample of the product. I thought I was buying the product, but no... it gives you daily samples of what the product could be if you paid more money. So here’s my 1-star review—but to be clear, this rating reflects the loss of trust in the Blast brand. I’ll think twice before buying anything Blast-related again, since the price you see may come with hidden fees. And if it doesn’t have hidden fees yet... just give it time. It may change one day—like it did for me.

This is a must for uplevel ball players. This has helped my son (16) improve his swing with increase power and speed. We also added the Blast Baseball Swing Anazler so that he can collect the data and see his swing path. By doing this he was able to make several corrections which has improved his power, bat speed, and the EV low. After only 2 weeks of work with both bat and Blast his BA jump 30 points and his OB went up also. First 5 games he is batting 357 and had 14 Rbi's and had 8 runs. He works with the bat and the Blast every day as a tool to get better. He spend 15 to 20 minutes with the vlo bat with the Blast on it, then when he changes to his regular bat he moves the Blast to it. He charts all of of swings with both reguarl bat and then with the Vlo so he can compair the 2 different data. It also helps with the swing tracker image that he can look at.

I’m a facility owner and made a Rapsodo purchase 2 months ago. Then I got Blast last month and the guys spend more time looking at Blast data than the 5GRAND Rapsodo data!! One thing that is not out in the open is that you can take 10 swings a day and if you want more you have to purchase a membership. That was a bit of a surprise but it’s worth it, for us.

This thing is actually so cool! It has so many different features. My son really enjoys it. The only downside is the subscription.

The Blast Baseball swing analyzer is an amazing piece of technology that has my 9yo nephew taking 200-300 swings a day without prompting. He wants to get his scores higher like it is a video game. After purchasing it, you'll have to pay for a subscription. The coach subscription allows you to monitor multiple players and gives more features than the player subscription but it is also more expensive. If you purchase this for yourself or your kid and want all of the features such as exit Velocity and launch angle you'll need to purchase the coach and player subscription, which can get pricey. Still cheaper than Rapsodo though.

The Blast was recommended by a hitting coach. The free app is easy to use to gauge bat speeds and angles. It gives my son something to aim for as he tries to beat his high score. We can use this on any bat and is easy to change between bats. The games in the app give my son another activity to use to practice his swing. Even when hitting whiffle balls, we can put on airswing and it will measure the bat speed. We have taken the blast to batting practice with an ipad and the coach and my son were able to see impact angle and bat speed.
