This companion guide to the bestselling Yoga Anatomy Coloring Book helps experienced and aspiring yogis deepen their practice through coloring the essential anatomy engaged in 50 poses. Color your way to yoga knowledge! By understanding your body and its anatomical structure, you can improve your practice, no matter your level. This follow-up to the bestselling Yoga Anatomy Coloring Book โwritten by yoga instructor, licensed massage therapist, and anatomy teacher Kelly Sollowayโshows the proper engagement of muscles in dozens of fundamental and more advanced poses, or asanas. As practitioners color in the beautiful and detailed black-and-white drawings, they can clearly see the asana and relevant anatomy; each illustration includes a label to color and reinforce learning. Solloway explains how the muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments function together in each pose, and provides advice on working safely and effectively. Additional tips are sprinkled throughout, and 48 perforated flash cards enable readers to quiz themselves, study yoga anatomy on the go, and design custom sequences. Review: Very helpful for learning anatomy - I purchased this as sort of a study guide to help me understand anatomy while taking an online yoga training and it was really useful! The drawings are very detailed, which gives you an opportunity to see the different muscles very clearly. There wasn't a lot of directions in terms of doing the coloring, but having to figure that part out on my own actually made an even bigger impact. If you're a visual learner, this is a great tool to help you understand what muscles are being activated in different yoga poses. It was exactly what I needed to help me visualize the anatomy I was learning in lectures. I recommended it to all the people in my yoga class because as a yoga instructor, students are always asking what poses they can do for XY or Z muscles and this coloring book is a great guide Review: Great for yoga teacher training or self study - Iโm doing yoga teacher training and am not an anatomy person at all. As a visual learner, this book really helps. It has punch out flash cards included in the back for studying.

awesome idea!
I love this idea, such a helpful and informational book while still fun. One question I had was for beginners, what are the main muscle groups? The book suggests to color the groups the same color in various shades, but it's difficult to know which the groups are what falls where. A quick diagram of the human body with all of the colored groups to show this in the first few pages would be helpful.

Awesome book!
This is a very enjoyable way to learn yoga anatomy! The book is well written and beautifully illustrated. (Even more so when YOU add the color!) I love the fun facts and practice tips sprinkled throughout the text. You will learn a lot about anatomy and the poses, and coloring is not only fun, but also reinforces the memory of the concept. Great book, good investment!

Great for Zen TIme
As a yoga instructor and anatomy teacher, the images and narratives are incredible and not only help my anatomy students but this will be used in my teacher training and yoga CEU courses. I think itโs a must have and an upgrade from your typical College anatomy coloring book.

Fantastic!
I'm so impressed with the quality and detail of this book. I wish I'd had something similar for my pilates training. This is super for my yoga practice, especially since I'm training to teach, even if I wasn't it's a really great tool.
