Leather Working Tools 44 pcs Leather Craft Tools Kit for Hand Sewing Stitching, Stamping Set and Saddle Making

The pack contains a good selection of tools for a leather work beginner. I wanted to mend a couple of leather shoes and one bag and the tools are handy for that. I also tried to make a little leather bag following a tutorial on the youtube. The box has got all the tools needed, though of okay quality. The pouch was total success but I am not planning to go professional so it is adequate for me. But I can understand why some people may want to upgrade.

Lots of tools, poor quality

It's a great little starter kit to get you going. Some items will more than likely be throw away due to the poor quality but most will last until you can upgrade.The edge tool and skiving knife are of no use. Poorly designed and won't last very long. The ending tool is similar to a tool I have in my finger nail kit for trimming cuticles.The Japanese straight knife is very rough on the edge. It badly needs to be honed then stopped to give a proper edge to it.The needles will do for very thin leather but if you are working anything thicked you will need to use the awl. Awl.is really cheap.Punches are pretty decent and no complaints so far.I would recommend buying some wax for the string and edges. The slicker is made of light wood but will donthe trick.Throw the leather you get with the kit in the bin. It's plastic.Mats are good but might need a bigger size eventually.The "sanding belt" is just a finger nail file with same grit on each side. Just buy sand paper.Comes with a few finger cots which are pretty small but I can't see much use. If you get dyes just buy rubber gloves.In all its an ok kit to get started on.

The quality of some of the artifacts a less than ideal and look poorly put together or even rushed without any care for its quality. In the product explanation it is stated "The 40 sets snap fasteners kit are divided into 4 colors: gold, silver, bronze and black, each with 10 sets", yet this is not the case or I was left short a few items. In total I got 24 silver, 2 gold and 6 brass fasteners. As you can see this was not the 40 sets of 4 colours each having 10 sets. The 25mm hammer is slightly cut off center on its shaft so is at an odd angle and the rubber section of the hammer screws in low from the center of the base so it does not line up and looks shabby.I know it is a starting kit but like any product I would expect a little more care given towards the quality of each item so that the customer gets satisfaction and may come back to buy more goods from the seller. If you believe this review to be unfair then I shall gladly send you images of the products and the faults I see in them. One last thing the seller can do is simply attach a single sheet to explain each tool and how it works, by words or pictures as it would be very helpful to beginners.I still found some of the items good to use and handy to have in such a large purches.

This leather-craft starter set contains all of the tools you need to not only have-a-go but actually undertake a range of small leather stitching projects. It contains useful amounts of consumable threads and wax.As with all hobbies you are bound to augment and replace the tools as you go but as a starting kit at an excellent price-point I feel it represents good value.If you're looking to undertake small "stitch in time" repairs you'll probably find everything you need.For new projects you'll almost certainly want a cutting mat, a metal ruler (preferably a cutting ruler) and a good knife and/or rotary cutter.

The only thing that would have made the product better would be labels for the contents - I ended up making a list of the tools inside to remind myself what they were for!

I bought this product as a start to the hobby of leathercrafting. It provides a good place to start as it offers many of the basic tools you need to give it a go. However, it doesn't contain EVERY tool you need to start. Tools like stitch punchers, a cutting matt and hammers had to be bought separately before I could make a start. In place of including these tools in this product however, it offers some more advanced tools in their place which may prove more daunting for a beginner.The big criticism I have however is that some of the tools I received seemed to be dirty and oily. I don't know if this was intentional to protect the tools for delivery or not but I had to spend a while cleaning it all off which wasn't the best.Overall I'd say this is a good way of getting 85~90% of the stuff you need to start leathercrafting at a decent quality.

La primera impresión fue que ya había sido usado pues había pequeños restos del revés de cuero. Algunas herramientas van bien, pero otras no están bien afiladas
