Current ranges are 60A and 600A for both AC and DC. mA range is a bit too low for accuracy as 60A range only reads to 2 decimal places.

Can I use this to test the volatge of my car battery?

Surely, it can. I also use it to test car battery.

My dc amp clamp shows 00,11 whilst not connected to a power source even though ive reset and zero is displayed on the screen. Is this a fault?

Long press the Z/F button to "Zero" the meter, this _should_ clear this value to zero (if the meter is functional at least, mine was not sadly)
