This is the perfect controller for both beginners and experienced producers.
It is 100% worth the money! I have been making music on an app my on phone for a few years and finally decided to upgrade to Ableton. This was perfect for me. I will be using this for a long time. I really enjoyed how easy it is to use with Ableton. I just hooked it up and made an account and I could use it in the first 15 minutes. The drum pads feel nice. The keys are ok they feel better than most basic keyboards. It's a little big to be moved around a ton, but not unbearable just a little inconvenient. The only other thing I don't enjoy is it gets dusty easily. But other than that I would recommend it to everyone!

Great product
I really like this midi keyboard. It's pre-mapped well with Ableton, which saves a lot of time for someone like me learning. It seemed to be in great condition when it arrived, no issues. I was more impressed than I thought when it arrived. Perfect size and many great features.

2020 midi keyboard
This midi keyboard rules! It synced up with logic pro x super easily allowing me to control most functions thru the keyboard. The pads feel really nice. The lights are fancy and helpful. Scale mode is fun! Overall, very intuitive fun machine. 🤘

If you buy this Keyboard to use with Ableton, give it 5 stars. If used with any other DAW: 4 stars.
Even though it says it has "full-integration" with other DAW's like Reason, that's only half-true. When you registers the keyboard, and get your free software that comes with it (including Ableton Lite), you will see in the instruction manual and tutorials and this keyboard was designed with Ableton in mind, and even the instruction manual is conveyed entirely with how to use this keyboard in Ableton. So all of the buttons, features and navigation is 100% of the same functionality of Ableton. If you use this Keyboard with another DAW, depending on the DAW, your results may vary. I used this with Cakewalk (a free online DAW), and the top pads perfectly snyced with the drum machines, but some of the navigation options were completely non-existent. And when I used this with Reason (my preferred DAW), it uses about 60% of the keyboard's buttons and functions, but the faders don't usually snyc up with anything, the dials snyc with the VST parameter knobs about half the time, and the pads don't snyc with the drum machine pads at all, but instead let you turn on and off certain effects, depending on the instrument. And if you want to change or reassign any of these buttons and features, like having the keyboard pads trigger the drum machine pads, you have to go to the website and fiddle with custom settings, which has a learning curve, can mess up your keyboard if you are not careful (you cant even do any easy factory reset on the keyboard, you have to reinstall firmware and drivers) and the official website info and support is limited and only covers the basics; I learned more from reading comments on YouTube than anything I got from the official website. But, when the buttons snyc and you can use it too its full functionality, it's a nice, responsive and stylish keyboard. So your enjoyment of this keyboard will highly depend on what programs you use with it, and if you want to tinker with its settings. Comes with a lot of cool programs and VST's too, if you are just starting music production.

A Beautiful Midi Keyboard
It works just fantastic। Seamless integration with Ableton Live, and a new control surface script for Cubase। It is now very much easy for me to work with both hosts। It also has 4 custom (generic control) pads system, easy to assign any pad, knob or slider for any parameter in Ableton live, which too good for live performance। Love 💕 my Launchkey 49 Mk iii very much।

Would recommend
I don't have much experience with this sort of thing but so far I was able to connect it to a DAW (Waveform) and use it as a piano as well as record MIDI tracks. I haven't bought a pedal for it yet but it seems to have the required connector. One would not be able to tell that it isn't new without inspecting the box. The drum pads light up with pleasant colours. The entire keyboard is powered from a single usb port of a small laptop. Its rather light since it has no speakers or batteries. After some experimentation, I found that I can use the laptop's headphone socket to output sound with no noticeable latency. In general, I'm very happy to own this.

Really impressive - Seamless Ableton Integration!
I've just set up the Novation Launchkey 49 MK 3, and I can't get over how great it is! I upgraded from my M-Audio Oxygen 49. My old MIDI keyboard was a faff to get integrated with Ableton, so I wasn't really making use of the features outside the actual piano keys. The difference is like night & day, this really feels like an upgrade. Firstly, the Launchkey is class-compliant, which means you can truly plug & play. Ableton automatically detected the Launchkey and set it up, so no fiddling around in Ableton's settings. The first thing I did was register on the Novation website and watch a couple of tutorials. These explained how to make the most of your Launchkey. How the different menu functions work, the pads and the faders, how to use the pads for launching in session view, how to drum with the pads and to record MIDI musical parts. For me, the menu system will take some getting used to, but I can tell that when I've got my workflow sorted, it will become pretty easy. There are a few features for those who aren't skilled piano/keyboard players. From within the Launchkey, you can select a type of scale (F Minor for instance), and the keyboard will 'help' your playing so that you don't play any wrong notes. Great for a novice like me. There are also chord and arp functions, which are especially handy for those making electronic or house music. The product itself feels good quality, looks professional, and has so many features that I'm sure I'll still be learning new stuff in a month. If you buy this I really recommend watching the tutorials on the Novation website to get used to it, and you can really unlock the power of this keyboard. The Launchkey will work with other DAWs such as FL Studio, Cubase, etc, but I have not tested it on those so I could not comment on how well it integrates. But it is important to note that the Launchkey was designed for use with Ableton. I'm fairly sure you can map it to any DAW, as is usual these days, but it won't be as quick to use out of the box. Two Thumbs Fresh! System Requirements: Windows 10 or higher Ableton 10 or higher (Intro, Standard or Suite)
