LimbSaver Snap-On Recoil Pad for 6-Position Adjustable Stocks

Don’t buy cheap slip ons. This is perfect for my AR. My gun recoils more than most and this tames it a great deal. I shoot fast and need to stay on target. Good buy.

I really like the limbsaver recoil pads. I use them on all of my rifles (12g through 5.56). It really makes a different in my shooting because I'm not as worried about the recoil, so I don't jerk the trigger. Instead, it's a nice, steady squeeze. It's worth the extra dollars to get their pads versus the bargain ones.

So much cushioning...I replaced a couple of stocks before I found this. Milspec stocks are so uncomfortable I just refused to use them but this pad makes them more comfortable than a magpul with the extended pad

Got this to cushion the stock on my AR. Does exactly that. Received it fast and it takes some patience to get it installed but works as described.

I bought my son his first deer rifle and used the AR platform. The solid, non-ergonomic butt plate was not comfortable for him so I added the Limbsaver recoil pad. It made an amazing difference in both comfort and felt recoil which is a big deal when kids are learning to shoot.It fits great on the adjustable stock, which must have the 1/4" lip on the butt plate.I'll probably buy a couple more and an added benefit is that the soft rubber pad keeps the stock from sliding when I lean it against something!Definitely a good product.The seller also got it shipped out fast and I got it 2 days earlier than estimated!

Arrived as ordered and at time expected. VERY easy to put on rifle, perfect fit (DPMS Oracle/AR 15). Very soft, absorbs all the recoil of .223. Have used it twice, about 250 rounds, so can't speak to durability yet, but no problems so far. Very good product. Would recommend to anyone. -- 9/29/19, wanted to add to my review. Still VERY pleased with the product. Took my daughter and son to the range, they had shot a rifle only once before. Using my DPMS Oracle with the LimbSaver pad, neither child (well, 18 & 19 year olds) could feel the recoil of the .223. Have put over 600 rounds through the gun since installing the pad, still looks and performs like brand new. I have read many other reviews, particularly the few negative ones, most of which are 2 or 3 years old. It appears this will not fit on a Magpul stock and is difficult to fit on some other brands of rifle. One trick I used, from another review, was to put on the bottom of the pad first and work it on from the bottom up. It went on very easily for me on my Oracle. High quality product, durable, looks good on the gun, very much worth the price!

The AR-15, in 5.56x45mm, doesn't normally have a lot of recoil but does still have some and my mother is elderly. I had tried a number of high end stocks, even fixed stocks, with recoil pads and it was still a bit much. A friend of mine using a plain jane GI mil-spec stock with one of the pads let me swap it onto the AR I'd build for my mother and "SHAZAM!", problem solved. Not one BIT of an issue with the recoil for the rest of the time we spend shooting. Ordered one of my own to put on her rifle and she loves it. I DID have to trim it so that it would fit around the Stock Saddle I put on the stock for a better check weld for her but it is holding up fine and she's now averaging around 300rnds a week now. She loves it. One thing I should point out is that this thing is an absolute BEAR to get on to a MILSPEC stock. It fits REALLY securely though so it's worth it. Once you get it on it feels like it's part of the stock... no shifting, looseness, nothing. If you are having a really hard time getting it on, warm it up a bit with a hair dryer and then use a little dishwasher detergent liquid soap on the inner surfaces... should slip right on and as soon as it cools it's going to be practically impossible to get off! :)

I recently purchased a "big bore upper" for my AR-15, one that will definitely have more recoil than my other ones. I read all over the Internet that some kind of recoil pad was going to be beneficial, so I did not waste any time in purchasing this. I have a (it has been pinned in place to comply with my state's laws), and, The pad is comprised of a thick rubber (slips over the buttstock) "welded" to what feels like a memory foam "shock absorber" (makes contact with the shooter). Although it did take some coaxing, this pad slipped perfectly over my non-collapsible collapsible stock with a nice, tight fit. I can't say what the big bore recoil would have felt like because I did not shoot without the pad, but the recoil felt like my 6.8 SPC without the pad, and it reduced the recoil on my 6.8 SPC to practically negligible.As other reviewers have noted, it adds about an inch to the back of your stock. Between the material and the texture, the back part of the pad that makes contact with the shooter is extremely non-slip, so making adjustments with the rifle shouldered is not very smooth (i.e., it does not slip around at all!). On the whole, though, these are minor trade-offs compared to the wear and tear I will be saving my body on the range and home on the range (bison, here I come!). Although I am used to some recoil, not having to worry about it will also aid in maintaining focus and accuracy, particularly with the larger calibers I'll be using.

WOW!Don't waste your time with any other pad, BUY THIS ONE! Every pad i looked at was solid rubber which made for not much recoil absorbing material. This has a soft gel pad that really soaks up the kicks, plus it conforms to my shoulder a lot better when doing various grips. (C Clamping no longer kills me!) I would add this to any gun i could, I can shoot 200 rounds and feel like i shot 10. The company name is true, its a real limb saver.Only two complaints i have however...1.) It was a pain to get on. It didn't take me all day, more like 30 minutes and i think it was more of my own fault than theirs but wow it was a tight fit, But i really will never worry about it falling off, it snaps in place really well.2.) I wear long sleeve shirts, and my new problem is the recoil pad catches on my breast pockets or latches onto folds of my clothes. The original tapco hard plastic stock slid on cloth easy, but since it has a rubber coating on the gel pad it catches everything. Again maybe more of a personal problem but also applies to a coat. So somewhat annoying in the winter season.The pro's outweigh the cons very heavily, I recommended this to my friends already!

Instals easily and quickly. Works great. Even though AR's don't have much recoil this just makes it all that more comfortable to shoot. Fit my S&W MP15 perfectly. Fully recommend it.

Works great on my M&P 15 Sport 2.Easy to put on, fits nice and snug and is soft on the shoulder.

Fits on my 590a1 flex stock perfectly and it no longer destroys my shoulder when i shoot it! I highly recommend this for shotguns with an m4 style stock on it.
