you pretty much can't go wrong with this brand! Birkenstocks are always comfortable and amazing quality shoes. I will say that the sizing is somewhat different. I am usually a solid 8 in the US but in the Birkenstock Gizehs I had to get a size 38 (US 7-7.5). I got these in silver and they are soo cute- the perfect blend of comfort and cuteness. :-) Once you know your size, you will LOVE these shoes- and it takes a little while (maybe a few weeks) to break them in but once they're broken in, they're the most comfortable shoes ever. The negative reviews have been written by people who have not allowed time for the shoes to be broken in and get comfortable.

I will most certainly buy more of these sandals in different colors. I have a very wide foot, size 7 in an EEE to EEEE (mostly EEEE) and these shoes meet my needs. They are pretty and well made with excellent materials - I would recommend to anyone with similar wide feet as mine. I love these shoes! One of the things I especially love is that they have no heels, just not even surface which is such a relief on my back - I have spinal stenosis and any kind of lift in the heel is torture... thank you for a wonderful pair of sandals...

I've owned several pair of the Birkenstock Gizeh shoes over the years and I love them! Until now I have required a narrow footbed, however my foot has widened since pregnancy and I ordered a regular this time and they fit wonderfully. Birkenstocks do take some time to wear in and are not very comfortable at first, however give them time. As they mold to your foot and break in, they will become the most comfortable shoe you have ever worn!

I've walked and worked in my Gizeh for a couple weeks now and my feet and I are happy with the fit, the comfort, nice support for the arch. Love the silver color (goes with anything). I just had to adjust to the new length of my feet as I wear them, because of the extra sole space compared to my tiny flip-flops. I just tripped a few times here and there, no damage! Toes are safe with those shoes as the front part takes the bump not your toes! If you like the style, I would recommend buying those shoes!

Love these sandals. Need to break in before wearing for long use but when you do they’re great.

I don't know if it's the t-strap style that causes the cork to split near my big toe's knuckle or its if just Birks in general. This is the second pair of Gizeh that split one month after wearing. I don't wear them every single day but the cork always splits in the same area. I've owned other styles of Birks and there hasn't been any issue. I'm sure I could buy cork glue but why spend mucho dinero on stylish sandals only to have to buy an additional product to fix them? I love the comfort of Birks but the ugly splitting is well, ugly.

I wore these out in a year walking all over Europe for miles a day. The longest I walked was 15 miles in a day and most days averaged 10 miles.- with that said I wore down the heel but they held out beautifully. Price is also super inexpensive compared with other stores! Color is very bright and attractive!

When I ordered these Birkenstocks I chose the picture with the Padillo's. These have a raised sole that provides extra height and comfort. I did not receive them, instead I received the regular ones. Also, for those of you thinking you are getting a leather upper, you are not. The upper is man made material (which I was aware of for these particular silver uppers). I have 3 other pairs of Birkenstocks and these ones have a cheap feel to them. While I believe they are legitimate Birkenstocks I am not expecting longevity with this pair. Something about them seems off but I will keep the pair I received and see what happens.
