FTH Stainless Steel Grabber Reacher Pickup Tool Heavy Duty Trash Picker 48"

This is a very well built grabber tool that has a nice weight. I am disabled and use it to grab the pull chain on the ceiling fan / light above my bed. It works absolutely fantastic, and I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone needing a heavy-duty grabber with exceptional grip.

This heavy duty grabber is a little pricey but is definitely well designed and built for long term use with out disappointment. It is the right length to grab items easily, holds tightly without slipping. The handle grip fits naturally in your hand and is easy to clean using a garden hose.

Surrounded by mature trees, I found the FTH grabber tool exceptionally effective at picking up the many twigs, branches and other tree debris the wind deposits on our lawn. The chore of ‘pick-up-sticks’ prior to mowing prevents mower blade damage and the FTH grabber is far superior to other brands used. PROs: FTH’s mechanism is well made, performs smoothly, holds tight, and the unique serrated edges grasps even the smallest of debris. CONs: Considering the sound metal construction of the business end and shaft, the plastic handle and lever leaves much to be desired; both are short for a reasonably-sized hand, the surfaces are slick, and overall ergonomic design is less than satisfactory. MODIFICATIONS: To improve the balance and grip, I sleeved the factory handle with a rubber bicycle handlebar grip to enlarge the handle with a positive grip surface, and wrapped the lever with silicone tape for a better grip (See photo). Had the FTH grabber been made with a better handle and lever, this rating would have been (5) Stars.

Honestly, better and way sturdier than I thought it would be! I was thinking it was another gimmick but to my surprise It grabs the dog blanket perfectly all the way down to little cases of paper even helps me get my socks off! The thing actually works as advertised! It’s weird I have to point that out lol Easy squeeze handle, smooth, does NOT bend easy, light enough while retaining sturdiness! I think I just convinced myself that I need another one haha 😂 dang I’m done oh yeah it’s comfortable

Great product. I had 50-75 oak clusters that blew out of my trees during a storm. With my overused back, I would not be able to stand up if I had to bend over to pick them all up. This tool worked flawlessly. The teeth on the end picked up leaves, twigs, and small braces effortlessly. There is a little cosmetic crack at the base of the handle, but it does not affect how the tool functions.

I wish I could give a better review. When I saw heavy duty commercial blah blah blah stainless steel I thought good this is going to be a really strong one and it is it's strong as far as the Grabber part goes maybe the extension on it is pretty strong but the handle is cheap junk plastic. That's what I was trying to get away from so it does what it says it grabs things you know I certainly wouldn't want to grab someone's butt with it cuz the stainless steel claws are pretty sharp you might scratch their butt but anyway I would say it's just okay the handle appears to be extremely weak to me and most likely will break at some point I may have to do something before it breaks but you know maybe try to beef it up somehow and be careful what you're actually using it for but the metal gripper part is great they won't break the extension tube like I said seems to be a good solid until you put the thing in your hand and then it's like oh yeah it's cheap anyway that's it I'm tired is like my 23 view I voice record so if anything comes out weird just keep in mind you know I don't use punctuations I do know how to use them but voice recording it sounds weird you know when you're like talking to it and saying use, blah blah blah whatever anyway whatever I say that I'll probably like reverse that nope I won't cuz that's what I do but anyway have a good day

I’ve been using this 40” grabber for almost 2 years and I love it. I use it for my pool to grab bunches of leaves from my skimmer and to pickup leaves, small branches and tools from the floor of my pool. Worth the $$!

If you enjoy bending down and picking up tree branches by hand, don't buy this. This is one awesome grabber for removing all those branches the wind blows out of our trees. We have a huge yard with many trees and picking up branches has become difficult for us. Now the game has changed. This grabber will hold on to those pesky branches and I've have been able to pick up several at one time. No more bending down for us. The only thing I would like to see different is the handle. It is easy to use, but after a while it becomes tiring to the hand. If the handle was incorporated into one piece, that would make this even better.

This is a good quality grabber. I am six foot five, have worked hard labor all my life, am getting older, and drop things more than I like nowadays. With the ground so far below my arms reach this grabber is a knee and back saver keeping me from having to make the trip down to get things by hand, then wonder if I'm gonna be able to make it back upright again. I like this grabber because it has the full metal claw and the long length. The claw teeth are a good shape and strong. Even with the extra length of the shaft this grabber has enough strength that I have used it for grabbing several items that far exceeded the grabbers intended use and it did not warp, bend, or break. The claw's teeth were not affected. The claw grip strength is decent, though lighter than other claws that have 90° fingers. It will let things slip when being aggressive with it, but with the right squeeze and some technique I have managed to do a lot of heavy work with various successes. I chose this grabber specifically because of the metal claw so I could sterilize it with all types of chemicals and steam treatments. I have used open flames on it several times. The first time I expected it might not survive as I do not know what the inner linkage between the handle and claw is made of, but it didn't melt or lose strength in the flames. I have used this grabber to pry and scrape frozen dog doo out of the ice in the yard, grab burning embers and logs in the campfire, pull large objects like bags, tools, and water jugs from the far end of the back of my truck, feed ratchet straps under or through a load on my trailer, used it to assist my balance by grabbing shrubs and tree branches while climbing up steeper sections of hiking trails, picked up large rocks, rescue a dropped cell phone out of the lake, and in many other rough use ways. It still looks essentially brand new. Of course the technique of how I have used it is a large part of why I have not destroyed this grabber yet. Nonetheless, I must give ample credit to the quality of the grabber itself for its part through it all. I have used numerous grabbers of all brands, designs, and materials. This grabber is certainly in the upper class, if not in first place for overall quality, utility, and durability. I am very pleased with it and feel I have gotten more value out of it by far than the cost put into getting it.
