GE Blue Backlit Buttons Universal Remote Control, Samsung TV Remote Control

This remote is great, it's extremely straightforward and simple to use, much like the factory remote. It can connect to pretty much any tv with a IR sensor. It feels good in the hand and feels well built. And it offers a soft blue backlight. It's easy to connect to a TV. It comes with a booklet for TV codes so you can punch one in manually and see if it'll work, the remote can also search for codes automatically. Do note that if a feature is missing from your old remote or a button doesn't work right, try a different code. You can connect 4 devices total on this remote and in the case of my Vizio TV, all the buttons match my original remote (excluding the streaming shortcuts). It's a good sized remote and I highly recommend as a replacement for your old remote.

It took me a grand total of 20 seconds to setup my Sony tv. The very first code worked immediately. The bright blue backlight is sweet. It controls my 2024 Sony tv flawlessly. Even more amazing is the price-under $8! It doesn’t bother me that there are no presets such as Netflix, etc but if I’m too lazy, I use the original tv remote for that. But I find today’s smart tv remotes too small, and in a low lit room at night I’m always pressing the wrong buttons. It’s much brighter than the backlight Roku remote I had, but that remote separately is $30! Its one of the best purchases I’ve made.

Kinda sucks because it'll reset once in a while and so the buttons don't work, I had to go back through all the codes again the first couple times it happened (luckily I hadn't thrown away the manual yet even though a week or so had passed when it started doing this). The first time I thought maybe I hit the program button and it reset because of something I did, so I sucked it up because i thought it wouldn't happen again. Well the next time it happened I know I didn't hit that button, it just did it on its own. So then I was kind of annoyed because there's quite a few codes you have to go through to get the one that works. Then it happened AGAIN, so I was pretty annoyed at that point. I have it too much credit in thinking it wouldn't possibly do it a third time. So then I wrote it down in a notebook that stays on my side table with the remote. It has happened a few more times since then and I've only had it for like two months. But I'll continue to use it because I'm broke, and when it's not resetting it works fine. So my advice to you if you do buy this, is to write down the code when you find the one that works for your TV. Also, when you do find a code, make sure you test all the buttons you use to make sure they all work. There's some codes where a couple buttons work so you think it's fine, but then you go to hit the back button or the menu button later on and it doesn't work, so you gotta go through the codes again because now you can't remember what code it was you used since it's been a couple hours since you programmed it. ... other than that I like it. I like that the buttons all light up blue too. I don't like it for any particular reason, I just like the color lol.

The last universal remote I used before this one was from about 10-15 years ago but this one is the first that has worked 100% perfectly! ++ 2 Double A batteries: VERY convenient. ++ The first code worked for each of my equipment pieces. ++ Can make the volume & mute button always be controlled by one of the 4 programmable pieces no matter which device you are controlling. The first code worked with my TCL 6 series roku tv. All the buttons work exactly the same as they do on the roku remote. I have a pioneer AV sound system (vsx-830) The first code worked for that. This remote also controls my Xbox one X which I use as my blu ray player. You are able to program the remote so that no matter which device you have selected to control, when you want to change the volume it will automatically use the audio device. I can be controlling the roku TV and easily mute commercials or change the volume without having to press the AUD button to change to that device. It's the perfect remote that actually made all my devices be controlled with just one remote. 5 stars.

Got this for a 2010ish Sharp Aquos TV. I first tried one of those remakes of the original remote on Amazon, but it only worked half the time. This GE remote worked after I submitted the first of the Sharp codes. It’s very responsive and works at a distance, and the light-up buttons are beautiful. Very grateful this works!!

It is perfect. I wanted all the buttons and the backlighting. There is no Guide button but you can access that on the TV. There is at least one button that is easy to find in the lower left corner that turns backlighting back on after it goes off and does not cause any other action.

I bought this for my VIZIO TV, Samsung DVD, and Sony VCR. I wake up during the night and have a great DVD that always puts me back to sleep. So I wanted a remote that I could work at night. And one one remote instead of the three (well, usually I just have two out). The price is definitely right. It was easy enough to set up. But the buttons I use often are not available: Forward (and/or Back) to Next Section, and Subtitle. I thought that maybe a different code would get the fast forward button to go to the next section if I held it, so I went through all the codes. Twice. That didn't work. I also tested the A,B,C,D buttons to see if those might bring up Subtitle, but they never did. Another problem for me is that the lights don't go on until you hit a button. So I have to feel around to try to hit a button that will not turn off the unit, or go back to the menu, or .... It's easy enough to find the on button, but the lights go out so quickly that by the time the DVD is loaded and ready to go, I have to feel around again. For a while, after setting up, the back lights did not work at all (except for the on button). I took out the batteries and tried new ones, but that didn't do anything. Yet after putting the new batteries back, and putting the old batteries back in, the lights came on again. I have no idea what that was about. I think this is great for using in the day time or dusk, and if you just watch TV, or turn on a DVD and watch the entire show. But I like to watch DVDs that have chapters and I need to get to the right place easily and quickly. I also need subtitles. This remote does not work for that.

Remote was easy to set up and works with my Samsung tv. I do wish you could dime the backlights as they are bright enough to almost hold a candlelight dinner with. Overall, I’m satisfied and I’m not worried about not seeing the buttons on the remote.

Si necesita un control remoto universal para reemplazar el original, no busque mas, este Control Remoto fabricado por General Electric es perfecto (bien diseñado, teclas iluminadas, para todas las marcas, etc.). Y ademas barato. Desde años atrás le he dado mi confianza a los productos General Electric porque garantizan calidad. Si tengo que decidir entre un dispositivo de otra marca o generico contra uno fabricado por General Electric me decido sin dudarlo por este ultimo. El producto anterior que compré de esta marca fue una antena exterior para televisión y sustituí una que era generica, ahora la cantidad de canales que mi television capta es mas del doble y sin interferencias. Porque la marca SI cuenta.

I purchased the GE 4 device remote and it is fantastic 10/10 for my needs. I have a new Samsung 65” TV (not our main TV) and Samsung soundbar that I watch in a very dark room, mainly watching Netflix movies and series. I only use this Universal remote for the Samsung TV and soundbar, and don’t use it for any other devices such as Bluray player etc. I have been using this remote out of the box without having to change any codes. The backlit buttons on the remote are fantastic in the very dark room, just what I have been looking for. Some reviewers have commented that the Back button on this remote doesn’t work, but the Back button on my remote works perfectly. The only minor glitch I have found with this remote is that although the On/Off button powers on my Samsung TV and my Samsung soundbar immediately at the same time, the On/Off button doesn’t power the TV (and soundbar) off unless I firstly press the Home button, and then the Power button….. only a minor glitch. Otherwise all buttons work well, e.g. the volume button adjusts the volume on the Samsung soundbar perfectly, Fast Fwd etc work well. What I particularly like is that the main centre OK button pauses the show I am watching and a press of the adjacent > button advances 10 seconds with each press. Press OK to resume playing again. I usually prefer this to the Fast Fwd button that advances too quickly. In short, for the price, this remote is excellent for my needs.

Un seul mot Wow, la télécommande fonctionne très bien, facile à configurer. Je l'utilise pour contrôler une tv sony bravia et un système de son bose lifestyle t20 qui malheureusement dans c'est année la n'avait pas encore le control Ark ou CEC des appareils, donc obligé d avoir deux télécommande.
