Perfect fit.
I had an old cast iron sewer lateral vent pipe that had been left I uncovered to tree leaves, dirt and the elements. This female adapter slipped very snugly over the outside of the 4” cast iron pipe. I was then able to screw in a “Sewer Popper” clean out relief valve threaded for 3” or 4” pipe or adapter. Much better than the previous situation! The adapter seemed very sturdy and of good quality. I’m glad I got it.

Fits Green 4-inch SDR35
This is what you need for a 4 inch SDR35 septic cleanout cap, aka the green sewer PVC.

Good product, not much else to say
Good product at a great price. It fit well and seems to be of the same quality as the part that I replaced--which was run over by a lawn mower.

Will not work for a 4 inch clean out pipe! Product is fine otherwise.
If you are planning to replace the cleanout adapter on your 4 inch sewage cleanout pipe, do not buy this. This product is meant to connect to a clean out pipe with a coupling, which is not what I wanted. Instead buy a 4-in x 4-in Female x Hub Schedule 40 Adapter (search your local hardware store) like in the picture on the left. The one on the right is this product and you can see the difference in the size of the portion meant to connect to a clean out pipe. Otherwise, this product is good quality and if you were planning to use with a coupling anyway, should work fine. Don't make the same mistake I did and assume it will easily connect directly to the 4 inch pipe.
