Reliable, powerful jump starter that actually holds a charge
As a mechanic, I’ve used a lot of jump starters and portable battery boosters. Most cheaper ones work at first, but fail when you actually need them. I’ve had the NOCO Boost GB70 2000A lithium jump starter since 2018, and it’s been extremely reliable. ✅ Strong starting power I mainly use this on power hungry luxury vehicles with high CCA batteries and large V8 engines, and it has no problem firing them up. It delivers consistent power and doesn’t struggle like lower-end units. ✅ Holds a charge for months This is the biggest reason I recommend it. I keep it in my truck year-round in Texas heat, and it will still jump start a car after sitting 6–12+ months. I’ve only charged it a handful of times, and never because it was too low to work. ✅ Easy and safe to use Reverse polarity protection and spark-proof clamps make it simple. You don’t have to second guess anything. Clamp it, power it on, and go. ✅ Portable and compact Small enough to keep in your truck without taking up space, but powerful enough to handle real situations. Easy to grab and use when needed. ✅ Versatile Works as a jump starter, battery booster, and also has USB ports for charging devices in an emergency. No built-in air compressor, but I’d rather have reliability than extra features. ✅ Cable length The clamps and cables are long enough to work comfortably without fighting for reach, which makes a difference when you’re in a tight spot. ✅ Solid build quality Feels durable and well-made. Not cheap or flimsy like a lot of other portable jump starters. ⚠️ Minor downside Charging speed is a bit slow, but that’s not a dealbreaker for something meant for emergencies. Bottom line: If you want a reliable jump starter, battery booster, or portable car jump starter that actually works when you need it, the NOCO GB70 is worth it. I’ll take reliability over extra features every time.

I absolutely love this
I've been a pro auto tech for long enough now that all the normal tools have been bought and paid for. You start looking for other things that you never really wanted to spend the money on, but always irritate you when the shop you're at doesn't have one, or the one they have sucks. I bought this because the place I was at, for a short time, reconditions and resells used cars. At any point in time we would have anywhere from 2500-5000 cars at the facility. It's a huge place, and a lot of dead batteries. On a daily basis I would need to jump start 4-10 cars. Cars ranging from tiny electric cars to diesel trucks. Out of the hundreds and hundreds of cars I've needed to jump, only one of them would the Genius not jump. And this was only due to an extreme discharge (1v), and no direct access to the battery terminals. Only tiny remote jump posts were accessible. The description claims that this will jump up to 20 cars on a single charge. I can vouch that this is an under estimate. I could use this all week, jumping 30 or more cars, before charging. I only plug it in when it reaches 25% according the to the LED indicators. On a very regular basis I would need to jump electric cars. Electric cars have a regular 12V battery for starting, and the motors run off a special battery. More often than not, the 12V battery, and the motor battery would be dead. So I would use the NOCO to start the car, then leave it connected in order to drive it to the shop (up to 1/3 mile from where cars parked). This little jump box will run an entire electric car with AC on full blast for several minutes and barely deplete its charge. However doing this multiple times throughout the day will deplete it more quickly. But if all you need to do is jump start, the charge lasts forever. Obviously you can use it in a similar way on a gasoline engine to run the car, when the alternator is bad. Only a few, very minor, points to mention. The cables are a little shorter than I'd like. This makes it more compact, but sometimes finnicky to get connected to a battery. The location, and ease of activation, of the light button make it entirely too easy to turn the light on. I found many times, I accidentally turned the light on without realizing it, and it stayed on for who knows how long until I noticed. Also it's a bit heavy to carry around. And this I only say because I had to carry it around in a backpack with other tools, and things I needed to do my job. For the normal person, the weight isn't an issue. It is by far smaller, and lighter, than the traditional jump box. And lastly, it takes a long time to fully charge. The better part of the day, if mostly depleted. So that's it. Those minor points are so minor, in no way should they deter you from buying this. I absolutely love this thing, and only hate that I waited so long to buy it. Update: Been using this now for almost 2 years. Still going strong. Working in a normal shop now, so not jump starting batteries every day. The charge still lasts forever. Also use to bench test starters. I now charge it probably once a month. It never goes dead, but if I see the charge is depleted when I use it, I will throw it on the charger. Still the best jump box I've ever used. Update: I bought this in March 2017. I'm now buying a second one. I want one for home now, so I'm getting the new one for work, and taking the old one home. I'll still love this jump box. Still working on cars, still jump starting cars on the daily. Now that this box is nearing 5 years old, the battery does need charged more often. Think of your old smart phone. But it's still kicking strong. The cables are still annoyingly short. I charge this every few weeks, and use it pretty much daily. The rest of my previous review still stands strong. The only difference now, is I have to charge it more often because the battery is so old. But still perfect for home use, and now I'll have a fresh new one for work.

What a power house. Jumps everything I own.
The NOCO Boost GB70 2000A UltraSafe Jump Starter is an absolute powerhouse. It feels sturdy, rugged, and well built, and it is one of the best jump starters I have owned. Unlike cheaper jump starters that can feel flimsy or come with weak clamps, this one feels solid from top to bottom. The clamps are strong and have great grip, which makes a big difference when dealing with hard-to-reach battery terminals or older, worn battery clamps. The controls are intuitive, and the lights and other functions work very well. I have kept this charged for months, and every time I have needed it, it has done exactly what it was supposed to do. I have used it around the farm to jump a tractor, mower, car, and truck, and it has handled everything without issue. The built-in light has also been very useful when working on my tractor out in the field. The only downside is that it does not come with a hard case. It includes a storage bag, but a hard case would be much more convenient and protective, especially when trying to grab it quickly. Overall, this is a powerful, reliable, and high-quality jump starter that I am very pleased with.

Powerful and reliable
This thing is a lifesaver. It started my car instantly with no hesitation, even with a pretty low battery. Feels very solid and well made, not cheap at all. It’s compact enough to keep in the trunk and the clamps are strong and easy to use. Definitely gives peace of mind knowing it’s there when you need it. Highly recommend.

Works great. Beefy power. Rugged build.
Works great! Will see how it holds up in long term as a backup holding charge but it's already saved my bacon when my truck's battery died and i had to start it 3 times in a row until i figured that it's completely dead and not holding a charge at all. As advertised those 3 starts didn't even put a dent in this jumper capacity. Combined with the "for dummies" safety of impossibility going Sparky as opposed to using cables - a must have in a vehicle. Could've gotten smaller/cheaper model but wanted an option of cig./plug/DC outlet besides usb since it's a decent sized power bank for the road.

It is a great jump starter … but a small problem … more of a disappointment than a problem.
I have had this jump starter for over three years now. I have found the following from experience: It stays charged for almost two years without having to plug it in. Above and beyond expectations. It starts the car several times without having to plug it in. Above and beyond expctations. It is a great jump starter, however, the reason for the 4 stars instead of five is, I finally hade to charge another device and the multiple device charging cord does not work. I tried to charge my ipad and it would not charge with the included cord but charges fine with my cord.

The best jump starter AND 12V DC power source I can find is NOCO GB70!
I received this item as a birthday present and as a congratulations gift for my shiny new Jeep Wrangler. It saved me from very expensive dealer repairs and towing expenses. Far more than the cost of this excellent product. Worth every penny and far superior to the Chinese no name jump starters sold in stores under many names. The crude copy cat designs frequently don't have enough current to do the job, and don't have the safety shutoff override button or the 12VDC output port. Vastly inferior products are everywhere, and they often lead to stranded vehicles. I purchased a fully equipped JL Rubicon four door model that was traded in at the end of a lease, thinking that I would get a reliable vehicle without the problems of the older JK version of the Wrangler. Initially there were improvements everywhere, but within a month the dual 12V battery problems left both batteries completely dead. I learned that for all Chrysler vehicles with Auto Stop Start and dual 12 V batteries, this failure mode happens to 100% of the vehicles that reach two or three years of age. That is, EVERY ONE of these vehicles will end up bricked- dead - on a morning when you need to go somewhere. This NOCO GB70 made the starter motor spin faster than I have ever heard as soon as I pushed the START button. The engine started immediately. During the days needed between the battery failure and the day I could go to an auto parts store to buy the larger Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) type of battery that the Rubicon requires, I used the NOCO GB 70 to start the engine every morning even though the original battery was so dead that most jump starter devices will refuse to activate their outputs. If I had one of those, it would have failed to start the engine. I am highly impressed with the accessories. The ability to fast charge from a 14Volt DC power outlet (in the old days, for cigarette lighters) while in a vehicle is a great feature. The USB input and output is great. Best of all, the cable and connector setup allows the device to be used as a stand alone 12VDC power source for any equipment that can connect to the standard automotive 12 VDC power outlet in a dashboard. Much smaller and lighter than trying to do this with a lead acid battery. This is one of the best automotive self rescue devices ever made. Buy one for yourself and everyone in your family that owns a car. Keep them charged and never worry about starting problems.

My Greatest Purchase in 2023!
I cannot speak highly enough about my purchase of the Noco GB70. I have a corvette with a 7 liter 427ci engine, a V-8 truck, and a H-D motorcycle, so I went with the GB70 due to the large engine in my Vette. Today and without warning, my truck would not start. I've lived long enough to know this is bound to happen but, I had no fear cuz the GB70 was here! This bad-boy fired my truck up like greased lightning. Fully charge up your GB70 when you get it, and it will be there unused for months or even years at a time, and it will hold its charge and be ready to fire your motor up on a moments notice. It is easy to use and it is also smart. It is not going to fry your electronics because it will not fire until it senses all is in proper order, and then it gives you the chasing lights signal to let you know you are good to go. In case of a totally depleted battery, there is a manual override button which negates all built-in safety features but it will fire up your dead vehicle like it was just hit in the tailpipe with a bolt of lightning. I splurged on my purchase and also bought the carrying case and power adapter. The case is very nice and super convenient for carrying and storing in whatever vehicle you are in that day. The power adapter is the quickest way to charge your GB70 as well as performing other tasks. Peace of mind and ease of use makes this an extremely worthwhile purchase. Today, my GB70 saved my bacon from being left stranded and having to call and wait for roadside assist. In minutes my truck was started and I was on the road to take care of my non-starting issues on my own time. Also, this thing holds a lot of charge and can re-start your car or truck multiple times before it needs to be charged. My jumpstart today did not even register a depletion on its charge meter. Anyways, to each their own and their needs but, I am a big fan of owning this super easy, safe, and convenient jump starter unit which will also charge and power many other things such as tire inflators, cell phones, electronics, etc. It also has a built in light which is very bright should you get stranded at night or need to signal your location for any reason. I won't leave home without it, especially if I'm taking a long trip.

Reliable jump starter for daily use
Excellent jump starter that works really well. I use it daily as a mechanic and it has been very reliable. It has plenty of power and starts vehicles without any trouble. The unit feels solid and well built, and the clamps are good quality. It’s also compact enough to keep in the vehicle. Overall a very dependable jump starter and well worth having.
