Is this an official tandy craftool product? Is it good quality

Yes it is a Tandy product. Based on several other types of craft tools created throughout the leather craft history... only this tool is much better and more effecient... Make sure to purchase the Tandy replacement cutting razors for back up with the craft tool...

How thin can this cut? Can it do leather laces?

Yes it will do that. I've had mine over a year and have used it to cut strip as thin a shoe laces. I did buy an extra pack of blades too

how is the blade placed in the cutter?

The rapor blade slides into a retaining slot.

When this i received this it did not come with blade. it states one blade included. how can i get my blade?

I thought mine was missing a blade as well at first. I was expecting a separate packet within the packaging containing a blade. Turns out, it comes pre-installed, with rubber protecting sleeves around it.
