Lost the saddle on my ibanez for the high e string a while ago and didnโt bother to fix it until recently and these replacements were great!

Easy upgrade
Great upgrade from pot metal saddles on squiers and cheaper strats. Look good, adjust easier, and doesnโt scrape your hand while strumming

Be prepared to do some work.
My saddles were grooved and worn. My G string was fluttering and pinging in the groove so I needed new saddle pieces. Being a tight wad I opted for cheaper saddle pieces for my Telecaster. (Oops! Lesson learned.) The good and the bad: As for the good...Build Material quality is fine, no issues there. The chrome was well polished and over all appearance looks nice and shiny as expected. but that's where it ends. The Bad...there are three issues to be aware of...all fixable if you have time and tools (experience would help as well.) 1. The screws are too long. While intonating the screws actually hit the string which raised my pitch when I actually needed to go down. THE FIX? Cut the screw down and file the end. In my case I used the old screws from my old saddle pieces. They are rusty (bummer) but they worked. 2. The springs on the screw are also too long. After turning the screw so far the spring mashed up and prevented the saddle from going back further. UGH! THE FIX?? Remove string, remove saddle, snip off about half of the spring. Replace saddle and string and test it for your guitar. In my case I once again used the old, rusty spring from my old saddle piece that I was replacing. What a pain. This takes a lot of time. But I gotta be in tune all the way up the neck so it had to be done. 3. The height adjustment screws (two on each saddle piece) worked well. Up and down no problem and they even provided the allen wrench, Thanks guys! However, the top ends of each screw is sharp. My right hand rides on the saddles for muting strings etc. These little screws scraped the skin of my hand something terrible. THE FIX??? File the ends of these tiny screw around the top edge. This is a slow and meticulous process that requires patience. (Wine helps. Wink!) I spent over 40 minutes using a small metal file, 220 grit sandpaper and finger nail files taking off burrs and trying to polish the tops of these screws. They are now OK(ish) but what a freaking pain. In all I spent about 2 and a half hours changing and fixing the saddle pieces. CONCLUSION: I have tools and experience working on guitars, so I was able to address these issues. First timers might struggle with this sort of thing. It's a great learning experience if you want to work on your own guitars. For me, my time is worth more than the little money I saved. In fact, I plan to buy better name brand saddles and keep these as a back up or for a fixer-upper. My advice: If you are on a seriously tight budget and are will to do the work these will serve you well. Be willing spend 2 or 3 hours doing the work. You will probably ruin a set of strings in the process but a small price to pay to get your guitar intonated and playing correctly. Do the work and you will end up with a decent product. You're just trading time for money. Learning to work on your guitar this will serve you well as a guitar player. If you can afford it just buy a better name brand where everything is polished and ready to go.
