If you need something to release pressure on the spine or to decompress the spine, then this will work. It’s comfortable and since it’s inflatable, the settings are almost infinite. This is not the traction device used in rehab centers but then again this is a small fraction of the cost of one of thoes devices. I’ve had mine for several months and I can say it works. My only complaint is that the buckles are hard to fasten as they connect at the back. It is helpful. If you have someone that can help you put it on and take it off.

Chiropractor recommended. Using this product has been a game changer for me. Twice a day, once during the day for about 15 minutes and the same again at night. It helps decompress the degenerative discs in my neck greatly reducing the pain in my neck and numbness and tingling I now only occasionally get in my hands and arms. It also allowed me to reduce my chiropractor visits to once a month and the OTC pain meds I was constantly taking. This is my second one. First one failed to stay inflated after about 7 months but the has made product has made a world of difference so I had to buy a new one. Hopefully I get more life from the second one.

Considering the intended purpose for this device, the quality control is bordering on criminally negligent. The first time I pumped it up I heard hissing from the left side before I got to 10 pumps. The most concerning thing is that it would appear to fully inflate all the way around, only to slowly deflate on that one side. Since people using this device have a neck injury, wearing a device that slowly deflates on one side would aggravate any existing condition and could cause far more serious problem. The interior seam under the chin cup is also a way off-center, and one of the pump bulb hoses is longer than the other by an inch or so. Those two things are no big deal, but they are indicative of poor quality control. If you decide to give it a try anyway, know that it is challenging to close the clasps if you have difficulty reaching behind your neck, dexterity issues, or lack sensory perception in your hands.

I have a herniated disc in my C-spine, which hurts most when I am seated. I bought this unit because of pain at my desk at work as well as dread of an upcoming transatlantic flight. So far have been using it for a week, and I think it is proving to be moderately effective, enough so that I'm glad I bought it. It provides a kind of "light traction" at least in how I experience it. As one might expect, it does not have the force of expertly done manual traction or a high quality machine. But then again, you can take it with you easily, and it provides a measure of relief. I anticipate being able to sleep on the long flight because it will prop my head up while giving light traction! It does push upwards up the base of my skull when it inflates, which gives the nice pull. I can see that if someone had a short neck, it would probably be fine, requiring few pumps, but if someone had a very long neck, it might not be adequate.

I have two herniated discs and two bulging discs. The only thing that provides relief seems to be decompression. I ordered a cheaper one of these and it lasted about 4 times, plus I could barely stand to use it because of the smell. TOTAL BUST. This is a great device and provides pain relief. It is easy to use. I have been using mine for a few years now, off and on and it is still in great condition! Works great, still clean and smells good. Pros: Comes with it's own case to keep it nice and clean. Well built. Again, mine has lasted for a few years now. I don't use it every day, but I don't need it as much. I can use while I simply sit and watch TV, so it isn't a huge time investment. It's far cheaper than the chiro and easier to use too! I do see a chiro in addition to using the device, but I have noticed it has really helped my neck to feel better. I am not a medical professional, and I am not giving any medical or chiropractic advice, I just know how I feel. Cons: I am not complaining, but it is a little expensive. For me, it was worth it because I really had a lot of pain, but not everyone can afford the price tag. I know if mine stopped working, I would invest in another one for sure.

This product does it's job. I have it adjusted to the smallest size, making it difficult to snap in the connectors which are on the back of the device. I have a different type of device that is much easier to use and more comfortable. It has the 3 levels of air chambers and velcro straps in the front.

ordered the red, my neck is slim. if doubled-chinned go for the larger. it's been a real pain and stress reliever for me. no need to go over the 15 pump-ups on either side. its substancsial, really stabilizes the shoulders while giving just enough of a gentle stretch upward to the neck. doesn't cut of blood or air supply. easy to put on, 2 closures on the back. they slip into the slots easily and to unclasp all you do is press a large tab on the bottom of each clasp and they spring apart. for me laying down on my back, instead of sitting up in a chair, allowed for more effective upward movement. then i relax for a couple of minutes. then easily release the air. relax. then pump it up again. i do this 3 times. this is a really useful product. i read all the reviews on the others and my intuition pointed to this one. good choice. the reviews said they stand by the product in case of loss of air pressure.
