I recently purchased the Daiwa J-Fluoro Fluorocarbon Leader in the 40 Pound, 50 Yards, Multi, One Size option, and I have been extremely impressed with its performance. This fluorocarbon leader has become an essential part of my fishing gear, and here’s why: Firstly, the strength and durability of this fluorocarbon leader are exceptional. I've been a life long user of Seaguar fluoro leader. I've typically used the blue label but sometimes others like Gold as well. Not anymore. it seems to have gone downhill in quality and up in price. I've had way too many breakoffs that never should have happened. I've since mostly switched to Daiwa J-Fluoro and will eventually completely switch over to it. This stuff is a great value and works better than Seaguar for me personally. I've had zero issue with the line breaking.

Excellent leader material; clear, Knots well, abrasion resistant and strong. You get a lot for the price so you're less likely to run out, comes with an elastic spool cover which is a nice touch as well. Good value flourocarbon leader material. I've been using it in light, medium and heavy weights for 5 or 6 years now. I like it.

I use this line almost exclusively for grouper fishing off of the east coast. Great knot strength and abrasion resistance. It is every bit as good as the big name brands and better than some. I have also used it for leader material when trolling off shore and for fishing for king mackerel.

If you take a close look on the picture which is posted on the amazon, you could find the is shows the 80 test pounds has 0.765mm on the diameter. The one I received is marked 0.887mm on the spool which is way over my setup.

Love this leader, has never failed me. The band that comes around it is awesome, doesn't tangle with my other reels of leader

I highly recommend using a good fluorocarbon as a leader it has the highest abrasion resistance I usually go with a braided backer I have landed shark on 25 lb test fluorocarbon leader fishing off the rocks this is a solid investment a little difficult to tie knots but if you're patient this will work great if you keep the diameter close you don't necessarily need a barrel swivel you can use a blood knot and it won't go anywhere however if you do opt for a barrel swivel you can use the palomer knot it's a little tricky but once you cinch it down it's not going anywhere a must-have if you use lures or a fish finder rig and you want a leader that disappears in the water it can be the difference from catching fish and getting skunked

One person wrote the following, "This line will NOT hold a decent knot when used as a leader to PowerProV2 I was getting almost 3 or 4 break offs at the hook or knot to the main line this year". Some braids are too slick for alot of things, Yozuri braid for one. USE A SURGEONS KNOT and a Palomar. I have been using Jbraid for ever. It's as good as Seguar and better than there GOLD which is horribel. Don't let 1 bad review dissuade you. Try it, you will like it. I have been fishing SERIOUSLY for 40 years and the last 15 in Fl salt water. I have tried damn near all leaders and will use only 3 brands.
