It's uniformity Red, with the inside black.

This is, without a doubt the best cast iron pot that I own. I love it. My only wish is that I had a 7 quart one. The cover re circulates the liquid inside, so the liquid level stays constant. Which requires less intervention on your part. This is authentic and I think it's the best one ever. Save you money buy it, it's great.

What's the difference between this $165 one and another Amazon cherry color one for $201?

Just price. The one for 159.99 is the same also, but even more affordable.

What is the highest temperature it can handle with the lid?

At least 5oo degrees F. I've cooked bread in this same size, at 450 degrees F, for hours.
