Housolution Universal Table Vise 3 Inch, 360°Swivel Base Bench Clamp

I needed a midsize shop vise and this vise fit the bill. It's easy to set up. I like the way it swivels 360°. Everything tightens up really well. It also comes with various inserts to hold objects of different shapes.

What is the gripping capacity of a 3-inch bench vise? Well, 300kg of clamping force according to Housolution, which is considerably more than an African Swallow could manage regardless of coconut situation. This thing clamps. It clamps confidently. It clamps with the enthusiasm of someone who has been waiting their whole life to clamp something. The 360° swivel base is genuinely useful for getting the right angle on whatever you're working on, and the cast steel construction feels appropriately serious for the price. If you need to bust a castle nut on your PewPew McGavin, this will hold things in place while you apply the necessary persuasion. The rubber jaw inserts are a thoughtful touch for when you don't want to mar whatever you're clamping. A short note - surface matters. I used this on a cheap IKEA desktop and it worked, but the clamp base wants something with more structural conviction underneath it to truly shine. The thinner/hollow IKEA surfaces give it less to bite into. A solid wood workbench or something with real thickness is going to be a happier relationship for both parties. Strong enough for a man, compact enough for a workbench, and probably no pH balance considerations for anyone. Does the job without drama.

Small and fits my needs. It clamped on my bench with only 1 inch of space and comes with those rubber pads which minimizes any scratches or damage.

All the parts included, including 2 packages of flexible jaw covers and protective covers for the top and bottom contact surfaces of the clamping base. This has only about 3/4 inch (to the center of the screw) to grab onto a convenient table-edge but the edge should be as hard as possible, even with metal surfaces to avoid slipping. The covers can be attached with silicone which will keep them on for a while, but other soft, protective covers could easily be made to work. The vise jaws will only open about 2 3/4 inches before the moving jaw gets to the end of the screw and comes off. Only about 2 1/2 inches are useful -or you need a larger vise. The advantage to this small vise is it's rotating upper-part on the fixed base for the best angle to work, but for more rugged holding a larger clamping-base vise is a better idea.

Update- there customer service is very good. They offered me a full refund which I actually declined because this vice does work and I am using it. The arms are just not very deep. I increased from 2 stars to 3 based on customer service. They even offered to send me pictures and drawings if they make a new model that might work better for me so I can give feedback. I’d recommend they add detailed measurements to the description so you know the bottom of the jaws of the vice are only about 1/2” away from the screw/bolt/shaft that closes the vice. Very shallow grip which may be great for some people. It just is too shallow for chain saw sharpening Previous review below…… The depth of the clamps is very minimal. I have a narrow 18" chainsaw bar. I got these to help by clamping the vice to my work table and then planned on putting the bar into the vice. It is barely deep enough to put the bar on their without the chain bottoming out and hitting the vice. It's just a bit too shallow. Also the clamp to go onto the table isn't wide enough on either side, so unless you are clamping in the perfect spot this is going to slide off your work table. It was cheap so I will use it for some things, but if I had seen it in a physical store I would have realized the clamp to attach to tables is poorly positioned and the jaws of the vice itself are very very shallow/short.

Bought this vise to regrip my own golf clubs. It's the perfect tool to mount in a table or counter and clamp your clubs in to regrip them. It's small enough to put away and move around easily. The size also makes it hard to clamp down too tight on your shafts and cause damage.

I needed a small vice to hold my lawnmower blade for sharpening, and this fit the bill perfectly. I don't need a vice often, so the ability to easily clamp it onto my workbench in the garage and then remove and store it, appealed to me. The vice swivels easily, is sturdy, and comes with 2 sets of rubber protectors for the vice and clamp for the workbench. For the price and functionality, this is a great buy.

De momento parece ir bien, parece que no es muy mala calidad, pero para el uso que le voy a dar de cosas pequeñas y sin grandes presiones de esfuerzos me sirve. Digo todo esto porque tengo otro desde hace mucho tiempo de la marca acesa y se nota la diferencia.
