Moth balls Moth Shield 4Oz Pack (Lavender Scent, 4)

I add moth balls to my outdoor garbage can and line with a large plastic bag and both keep my can clean and smelling well Also the odor of the moth balls helps prevent larvae from developing in the high heat of the South. Regrettably my last order of 4 boxes arrived smashed as they were sent in USPS soft envelope. Better to ship in a box or add to an order shipppng in a box

Strong smell when placed in the attic but must be working as I haven’t seen any pests.

Very satisfied with these moth balls and would buy again. Nice scent and I assume will work but too early for me to tell. Nice that they come in separate boxes so you can store the unopened ones if not yet needed.

A very good product for keeping bad odors and insects out of your closets.

Hard to buy these locally anymore and they’re way overpriced when you can find them. Amazon is now my only reliable source. The lavender center is negligible. The strong smell of the mothballs probably overpowers anything else, but you don’t buy mothballs for the aroma.

We had a huge problem with bats in our barn...we tried multiple things to get them to go away: put up bat boxes all around the outside, started sealing the barn as best we could, left lights out to not attract bugs, tried various sprays, etc but nothing worked. Then we read somewhere that you can keep bats away with mothballs, so I bought these to give them a try. We put about 4 balls or so in a cheesecloth baggy and nailed them up in the area the bats were prone to stay in; we had about 6 baggies nailed up in total along the ceiling. We only left them in the barn for about 5 days and then we just could not stand the smell any longer. These are WAAAAY more potent than I thought they'd be! But, even after taking them all down I can say that the bats are not back. This did the trick of keeping them away and, fortunately, after taking them down the smell went away too. But they are VERY potent. I wouldn't touch them without gloves on and would throw the gloves away immediately.

I remember moth balls and their scent would permeat the whole house and the scent lasted for what seemed like months to keep the moths away. I hated that scent, but now I miss that smell and how it worked!😅 These don't last nearly as long, but they do have a initial strong scent like I remember. But the scent fades away within a couple weeks. The boxes and product used to be bigger and they used to cost alot less as well. Well, I guess things change.🤷‍♀️
