Edit 2025: I killed it. It took as much abuse as a poor kettle could take for over a year and then died. I have mourned and bought a percolator and I can't stand it. I need my kettle again! I'm buying a new one that I will abuse all over again but for the price? Still 5 stars!! I use this thing for hours a day. I drink a ton of coffee, make loads of instant oatmeal, hot chocolate, and soups. I also use this for hot tea, and to add hot water to things like pet food. I absolutely love this thing! It's a workhorse! Heats fast, has an auto shutoff, a safety feature to keep it from boiling dry - although I've never used it, holds enough water to make at least 4 mugs of coffee at a time, and is super easy to clean. I can get my hand inside but I have smaller hands. The lid doesn't open in a straight up and down fashion. It leans forward a bit but the opening is more than enough for my hand and a soapy cloth. It has never scratched, or failed to heat. It also doesn't impact any flavor to your drinks or food! I will buy another one of these in a heartbeat! It's amazing and worth every single cent!!

And you definitely taste the difference in your coffee and tea. Really makes customizing your own drink a better experience both in prep and flavor quality. POSITIVES: Simple and safe to use. A single button press activates it with an led to indicate when it's on. And it shuts itself off after bringing water to a boil, so you never have to worry about over-boiling. There's a thumb lever press to lift the lid for refilling the water. When removed from the base after heating, it's safe to set on down on surfaces. The size is large enough for multiple cups and the mostly steel exterior provides a lot of durability. Plus, it's so easy to keep nearby so you don't have take a trip anywhere to get a fresh cup to drink. THOUGHTS: It took getting shamed by real tea drinkers to make me go back to using a kettle after relying on heated water from fountains or the microwave. And I'm so glad they did because I missed the quality brewed water activates in tea and coffee. Definitely get you one, if you don't it already.

I like it because it is so simple. I don't need a keep warm function or programmable temperature. Other reviewers have mentioned how loud it is. But that is actually a plus for me because when I am in another room, I can hear when it stops boiling and then I know to go make my tea. Another complaint I read about was the kettle came off too easily from the base. Again, a plus because my old kettle (which died and is not made anymore) sometimes stuck to the base and would drop down on the counter when I least expected it. All in all, a good basic tea kettle for a reasonable price.

This heats up water to a boil FAST! I use it in my basement laundry room because I don't have a sink down there. I keep bottled water handy, fill the kettle, heat it up and dissolve the powdered cleaners before adding to my washing machine. I love it!

Simple. Inexpensive. Single piece metal innards. Simply lever spring latch to fill. Screen is just a bunch of large holes (no fine screen to rust out and tear). Switch is simple toggle (no pushbutton to fail) with a light. It SHOULD last I hope. If it breaks in the next 5 years I'll come back and say so and change it to one star. An appliance like this should last at least 5 years of daily use, my old one lasted over 10 but then again my clothes dryer served over 50 years until finally giving it up. 1yr later still working fine. At 14 months, it no longer shuts off automatically on boiling. Should I change it to 4 stars? Well no one will read this if I do so there ya' go. I still like it though as I don't use it unattended anyway.

Great for morning coffee or tea. If you're cooking something and you need a hot water quick this is the product that you might be looking for. Be careful with the cable don't be rough with it but it's reliable.

Well made and nice that it's stainless steel throughout, however, my only negative comment is that it is extremely loud. Sounds like a jet flying by and I read all the instructions and have enough water in the kettle. Just always loud, so don't buy if the noise is going to bother you.
