We were tasked with removing tamper resistant penta bolts from a sewer manhole to perform asbuilts. These bolts take a special type socket. The larger socket in this set worked like a charm. Plus it withstood the amount of torque we had to apply to break them free. At this level of quality and price, this turned out to be a great purchase!

It was perfect for what I needed, and did not need to buy a whole set .

Using this tool for a miter saw clamp down hack. If you have these miter saw clampdowns then you already know how much of a pain in the butt it is to spin down/up the clamps and that it takes forever. Some gorilla epoxy, two wing nuts and life is easy. Also Works decent on bolts that are not extremely tight. The smaller of the two tends to grip better than the large but both work fine for bolts as well

The universal socket is perfect for big jobs with different sized bolts. No need to stop & change sockets!

The larger of the two sockets is much larger than expected, but fortunately the smaller one work for what I needed.

I got it to lower down on the sockets I needed to carry for work. It does the job, in most cases, however it will tear up nuts or get stuck on some sizes that you have to pry off of it. Sometimes the metal rods will also not retract back, you'll have to take a small tool from the other end to push them forward. It works in a pinch when you don't have the right socket, or can't find it. But, I will avoid using this if I had another choice because the issues it gives.

This tool performed exactly as advertised and allowed me to complete an important job.

Great tool even though universal sockets all look alike I was impressed with how well this was put together. when I started to use these 20 years ago they only had the little one and now it's great that they have one that is huge. the larger one actually is huge and within reason these two could tackle any bolt or nut out there. I find that tedious to try and figure out whether a bolt is SAE metric and what actually fits for sockets

Excellent, works like it should

After a couple of tries it just worked, like magic. I was struggling to get a rounded out oil drain plug off, and nothing was working, the bolt was basically a circle. Ordered this set, tried it once and it couldn’t latch. Then after badly dremel’ing the bolt, and having zero luck with several vice grips and hammering sockets onto the bolt, tried this socket with the impact wrench and it was off in seconds. Saved an expensive and embarrassing trip to the mechanics.
