Do both of these sockets have the same size inch drive ( 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2” ) or does the smaller socket have a smaller inch drive ?

How deep do the pins actually go? Some say “not deep enough” other say 1/2 inch deep and another said 1 1/2 inch deep, what is it really?

The one I have 11mm to 32mm has a depth of 5/8" and the 7mm to 19mm only has 5/6" Using a round file 3/6" to push the pin to bottom for the depth .

Is this good for plastic vial caps?

Worked very well on nuts, but unsure about anything plastic. If plastic is robust, should be no problem.
