How does the soft cover feel? Is it difficult to write with? Does it bend to much?

It's almost a velvety feel. It's smooth and feels good to hold. The cover is flexible and will lay flat when needed. I'm not having any problems writing in it w/o a desk or hard surface. I suppose you could bend the cover back if you wanted, the paper is sewn in. The paper is also smooth. I haven't tested for bleeding or feathering with any particular type of pen/marker. 3
