Thrustmaster F1 Wheel Add-On - Officially Ferrari licensed - PS5, XBOX & PC

I mainly bought this because I like having lots of buttons. This thing does not disappoint in that area. I've used it regularly for about 8 months and it seems to be holding up well. Everything works very precisely. I only use this one wheel, so I have not swapped it out with others with the TX base... no idea about the viability or durability of that feature. All of the dial-type switches that you see in the picture that are in the "hub" part of the wheel are just fakes/decals. Which is a little cheesy and unfortunate, IMO. I'm a real tifosi, so I appreciate the Ferrari logo, but I think this thing would look less like a toy without the fake switches. The wheel is also, like every other game controller I've ever come across, smaller scale than real life. All in all, if you have this base and need a controller with lots of buttons, I think this is your only option. It works great for me, though and ironically is one of the less expensive wheels for this base.

This thing is awesome

This is a great wheel. The paddles are metal and give a satisfying click. The switches and buttons are nicely located and easy to reach with your thumbs. It's got rubberized grips and a good weight to it. Yes, it's a bummer that the dial switches are fake and the stickers around them are, well, just stickers. But for the price, this wheel is still very pretty and feels great in your hands. When mine's not mounted on my wheel base, I display it on a shelf because it's a great piece of art as well. I've got mine mounted on a Thrustmaster T500rs base. I predominantly play F1 and Project CARS on PS4. I Own multiple rims for my T500rs and this is my go-to for most open wheel racing. It works very well with the games I play and transmits the T500's force feedback very nicely. In fact I think it's lighter than all the other Thrustmaster rims so you definitely feel the most FFB with this. This wheel has enough buttons to give console players all the functionally they can get out of a wheel. There are enough buttons to correspond with all the buttons on PS4/XB1 controllers. PC racers might find that the fake dial switches hinder their experience with this wheel though depending on how many buttons they need to assign. For casual and even semi serious sim racers, this wheel offers plenty and will do the job nicely for you. Hardcore sim racers might find this wheel to be more of a toy though and opt for something more realistic. But the price jump between this wheel and a more realistic F1 style wheel is quite steep.

Just recently picked this up (12, 2020) and so far its been a good wheel. Kinda nice to have a Formula 1 replica wheel for racing in Formula One games. Overall I like this wheel. Its a nice change of pace from the standard I've been using over the last 4 years. Grip feels good and not sticky like I've seen in a lot of reviews. The buttons do require quite a push unlike the buttons on the standard wheel, so its taken some getting used to. A couple of things I don't like about this wheel that I think Thrustmaster could have been more keen on. The two rotary knobs, left and right take multiple turns to register one click on the ps4. This makes using them rather moot to change things like brake bias, diff locks, and fuel on the fly in the game F1 2020. So for me they're just there and not really usable. I'm also not a fan of the three switches at the bottom center of the wheel. I would have preferred buttons. The switches just feel as though they could easily break if you're not careful. The center switch is used as your, 'PS', button, and the other two are your, 'options'. If the center switch ever goes out, I'll effectively have no way of turning on the wheel for the ps4 to recognize as a controller. That being said I'm certainly enjoying the wheel for what it is. Should that center switch ever go out at least I still have my standard wheel to hook back up to the t300 servo.

This by far exceeded my expectations. While I would prefer a non-Ferrari replica with a blank center area (instead of the fake dials and stickers), all of the real buttons and switches are of a nice quality. I do mostly open-wheel racing on iRacing (Pro Mazda is what I’ve been testing it out with) and it’s a huge step up from the standard T300 RS-GT wheel. I play in VR so the quantity of buttons are very welcomed too. As far as ergonomics, I have a nagging wrist injury and during long sessions with this my forearms get tired before my wrist hurts... so, for me at least, it is far superior to the standard RS300 wheel. The hokey fake dials almost scared me away, but I would definitely buy it again and am very happy with it.

Not prefect but for the price I paid I am happy with it. I find the locking mechanism clumsy, as once tightened it can be hard to take off. I was also put off by the fake buttons in the middle of the wheel. For the money they charge I would like for all the buttons on the wheel to have a purpose. Other than that thought it does what it is supposed to. However if I could only have the one wheel it would be the GTE.

I have had the wheel for about 2 weeks now. After hours of logging in races on F1 2016 with this wheel, i can say that the wheel could have been better. The pictures are real and accurate, the 5 center dials and Ferrari logos are stickers and don't move, but everything else does. My problem with the wheel is that it doesn't translate force feedback well or consistently. Using a T300RS for PS4, I found my self turning up wheel weight and the force feed back consistently. The materials used in the build quality could have been miles better. The 3 flip switches at the bottom feel very cheap and ready to fall off or even snap off. The 2 d pads are very stiff and give the impression that you need to use more force to move it, but then you feel like it will snap off,so careful. ALL the buttons are slightly outward, meaning you will have to PUSH those buttons to get the actions. The dials aren't as consistent as you'd like them to be, as they will work in intervals. The buttons are also covered in the stickers so you know what your pressing, but after 2 weeks, i cant make judgement on whether or not they will fall or peel off. The paddles are a highlight on this wheel. It has a rocker motion to it, so like one giant paddle that changes gears up and down - so you could change gears with one paddle, push in to upshift and push out to downshift (this is on one side). The wheel is very light, constructed out of light, hollow plastic, and the center seems to be made of brushed metal, but i feel as though that is also plastic. The handles were the biggest throw off - after a while, my hands would sweat while racing and the surface would get sticky and build grime from my hands. I would wash my hands and sanitize before sessions. but then i just resorted to wearing gloves and it works wonders for me now. As for price, its always fluctuating, so keep a look out. I originally ordered it from a third party seller for 130 new, but they never shipped. My other order, the current one, shipped with prime and amazon for 160 with tax and came new within 2 days. So to wrap up, buy for the F1 fan or open wheel racer, expect high quality plastic, great rocker like paddles, be cautious with the switches and stickers, push buttons all the way in. and know that force feedback will travel with less feeling.

This is a must have if you play any f1 style of games as it puts all of the controls right at your finger tips. I have played f1 2017 with both a farrari spider (replica wheel that came with my base) and then this wheel the difference is vary clearly night and day for me preferring this wheel. The build quality is what you would expect from thrustmaster (it is durable plastic with minimal metal parts). I will never be able to play any f1 game with my old steering wheel but that is fine with me cuz I love this wheel and it dose look vary nice on my base. If you have a thrustmaster wheel base and having fun with any f1 game this is a must have.

I really like this add-on, I already own the TM Italia 458 Edition, the F1 build has a really design, I used this wheel in Forza7, Assetto Corsa Competiozione Projects Cars 2 Dirt and Formula 1. I really like this wheel because on PC, it's the Thrustamaster wheel that has the most the button, Over 20 buttons, I really feel the force feed, Its mostly made of plastic, the plastic is very robust, (he will not bend by the pressure), people who love to drive GT3, LMP2, LMP1, F2 and F1 will enjoy this add-on wheel. 5/5!!! El volante cumple lo que promete! es de muy buena calidad, como todo mundo dice, los dials centrales son de adorno, pero el resto de botones es funcional OJO, en xbox no funcionan todos, es decir, el volante en Xbox o PS4 está limitado a la cantidad de botones que el control de la consola tiene, en PC es totalmente distinto ya que lo puedes configurar completamente. Los diales en los pulgares funcionan como la cruz del control, de un lado es arriba-abajo y el otro es derecha-izquierda. Estoy muy satisfecho con la compra, el feeling al correr es mucho mas inmersivo.

El mejor volante con diferencia por nº de botones normales, 2 rotativos y 2 tipo cruceta. La empuñadura de goma es excelente y te va a durar toda la vida, no como las de ante o piel vuelta que no duran ni 1 mes. Además, es barato. La mejor relación calidad precio. Y muy, muy bonito. Peculiaridades que comentar: - botones de largo recorrido y que se mueven. Para mi muy buenos y mola que se muevan como los reales. - Levas de metal unidas. Permite con la misma mano reducir o subir marchas ya sea empujando o tirando de ellas. Y por supuesto un uso normal con la derecha para subir y la izq para bajar.
