The Stoplock Pro is solid and appears to be well made. The broad yellow bar is very obvious and should be an excellent visual deterrent as a minimum. It is quick and easy to install and remove. It stores conveniently in the passenger footwell. The Pro (not Pro Elite) fits our 2011 Subaru Outback perfectly. I also tried it on our 2022 Ford Transit 350 XLT van. It fits the steering wheel well enough, but the arm is too short, allowing quite a wide range of motion before hitting anything. The units are shipped from UK. This one arrived quickly via DHL.

My first time getting a steering wheel lock after a failed theft attempt in front of my house. I didn’t want to buy a cheap steering wheel lock that can be defeated in seconds. I debated between the Stoplock and the Disklok and I’m glad I chose the Stoplock. It is very sturdy and well made. It says 6lb, but it somehow feels heavier than that. Therefore, the Disklok would definitely be too cumbersome to use everyday. The Pro model fits PERFECTLY on a 2019 Honda Civic and it honestly looks pretty cool on my car!

Had my car stolen so I wanted to make sure I had some sort of wheel lock to deter thieves from my new car. Originally thought of getting a Disklok, but I felt it’d be really inconvenient to use on a daily basis due to its weight and its general clunkiness. The Stoplock, on the other hand, is pretty light and much easier to store; most days I keep it on the floor of the front passenger side. Ideally you want the locking mechanism on one of the spokes and have the bar towards the door so it makes it really awkward for thieves to enter. I’m sure this will be enough to deter most of them. Photo shows the Stoplock Pro on a 2018-2022 Honda Accord. Fits perfectly!

Got this because I'm one of the unlucky ones with one of the most stolen car brands in America right now (Kia), and, in fact, my car was stolen in late 2021 (though it was recovered). This is a great locking bar, and it does fit fine, but it's extremely snug, and the only position I can comfortably lock it is with the yellow bar angled toward the driver side door. I wanted to lock it toward the inner dash console, but it gets stuck at the dash and seat and presses down on the horn in that position, so that was a no-go. That said, in the right position (angled against the door) it works great. Just barely fits in the wheel spoke (where it can't easily be cut off) and fits snuggly without pressing the horn. I feel much better having this, though I consider it more a deterrent than an full on anti-theft device. It's visible and if anyone messes with it, it will be loud. :)

It’s more visible from a distance and it takes longer than all other brands for pro-car-thieves to break into, according to my research. Plus, it can latch around multiple points on many different steering wheel designs for more security. It’s also designed to protect your airbag from theft. I would assume it can fit on MOST cars and trucks. This brand is the only one I would recommend. Well worth it! 💖

Durable, highly visible, easy to use. It doesn’t fit between the sections of steering wheel like it’s meant to on my car, but still works fine on the main part of the wheel. Installing it is fast and the item isn’t too clunky or heavy in my opinion.

Overall seems sturdy enough, but the lock cylinder jammed on the second day of using it. The tip of the key kind of jammed in the cylinder when I inserted it to unlock it. I wiggled the key around a bit and was able to remove it, but after that I wasn't able to insert either of the keys again. Fortunately it wasn't on my steering wheel when it broke, but it's a huge flaw if the lock will break that easily.

I got this lock because Hondas in my area are getting their airbags stolen. This lock fits quite snuggly on my 10th Gen Civic. I can't imagine it being possible to pull the airbag out with the lock on the wheel. Be sure to check to see if this model fits your vehicle. They have other sizes (like the Stoplock Pro) available for bigger steering wheels.

Have an 18 year old Peugeot 106. Low mileage, runs brilliantly and takes 30 seconds to break in with a small screwdriver (I've done it myself, when locked keys inside) and believe can be hotwired (not that I've tried that though). Hence need for a stoplock. Had the non-pro version Stoplock HG 134-59 Original Steering Wheel Lock for a few years, until the lock wore out (it would open by itself). The non-pro version also marked the steering wheel as it clamps tightly. This is a much better item. The locking mechanism is very secure and tough, and looks like it will last forever. The clamping mechanism is cleverer - two hoops, with plenty of space, so they don't mark the steering wheel (and on my car, can be place either side of the arm, making it even more secure). The slight downside is it's a bit longer, and heavier, making it a bit more cumbersome to fit. But you get used to it in no time, especially considering the security and peace of mind it brings. So, don't waste money on the cheaper version, this is the real thing and will last.

I have purchased several of these for my cars and they work exactly as they’re described. Just make sure to visit the manufacturer’s website to see what model is recommended for your specific car as the shape of them means they don’t fit all cars. Very happy with the locks in all cases. Someone attempted to break into my car and that’s what prompted me to buy my first one of these. The big yellow lock deters thieves after reading reviews from the UK these a just about the highest rated steering wheel locks you can buy. I saw so many when visiting the UK and it surprised me as I hadn’t seen steering locks since the eighties. If your car has one, the thieves will walk past it to another car. Much cheaper here than in shops in Australia.
