I’ve had on and off breakouts for years and usually oddly I always used a tattoo balm that worked perfectly. Recently, I started fasting a lot more consecutively and being in a calorie deficit. Which threw my hormones off and lowered my immune system temporarily. I had the worst outbreak! Over 10 days I tried everything I took lysine supplements, made my own topical remedy with everything you could imagine and while I got very average results, it would still come back just as vicious I read the reviews on this and decided to give it a try. Let me tell you THIS WORKS!! Yes the smell isn’t the best but it’s not like you’re buying this to smell it. We’ve all used a sharpie before and it doesn’t smell the best, but do we buy the sharpie to smell it? No, we buy it for the use. The smell doesn’t bother me. I agree with the whole rubber smell but it is what it is. It’s easy to use. I mainly just put it on Q-tips and apply where needed. I literally applied it in the morning after I showered and left it on all day till night time when I got home. Let’s just say that I went from a level 10 severity to a level 1! More than anything that I had tried recently. I’m now on day two of it and is working just fine. I honestly didn’t even need anymore, but I’m just doing a second day just to make sure. I will definitely keep this in rotation for emergencies. Now when it comes to the side effects. Yes you will feel a burning sensation, but it’s very temporary. Lasts maybe 10 to 25 minutes. A very small price to pay for the hours of comfort you receive. Think about it like mouthwash. A good mouthwash is gonna burn but you know it’s killing off the bacteria and you accept it. 10 minutes later you feel great and fresh. Think about it like that it doesn’t smell the best, burns for a little, but you will feel and look amazing throughout the day in the next day I’m so glad I tried this out! If you’re on the fence about buying this, trust me, you’ll thank me later!

Yes, the scent is of rancid olive oil exposed for one thousand years. Yes, this product is effective dealing with irritation. It helps return the skin back to balance. Effective within a day or so. It is best with the wash, and the vitamin C, l-lysine powder that FemiClear sells. Great combination to return body back into balance.

Very strong and powerful. I will buy this again over the Herpcare Spray because it works. Herpcare spray did nothing for me. I was still itching and in pain. This has a stronger smell that can soothe the itching for me.

I’ve been trying a lot of products and remedies, and have found this product helpful. However, my notes are: 1) I think the company really needs to come up with new packaging, a dropper might work better for this since it’s closer to liquid than a cream or gel. It often spills outside the cap even if closed thus leaving residue over the tube or other surfaces which then also need to be sanitized. Too much work just to use a tiny tube of an expensive ointment. 2) I bought this during my first outbreak. Big mistake. Huge. It burned like hell. Although the burning went away after about 30min, it was still uncomfortable. Since then, I’ve used it at the first sign of irritation to kill an outbreak before it starts. For that, this product works well. 3) For existing outbreaks, I’ve found it best to use this product with Manuka honey (umf 15 or higher). I put some honey on the back of my hand, mix it with about two drops of femi clear 3x a day, and works well to clear up irritations. If you don’t have Manuka honey, try mixing local raw honey (not the stuff in the bear…that’s not gon’ do it) with turmeric and freshly cut/pressed garlic + femi clear. Keep the honey mixture and femi clear separate. Only mix when you’re ready to apply. The honey will take away the burn of the femi clear and help your skin heal quickly. Look it up, there’s a lot of research on it. You’re gonna wanna use a liner btw. I also recommend eating 1/2 to 1 tablespoon of high grade Manuka honey 3x a day to speed up healing if you’re looking for an alternative to acyclovir. I really felt like that stuff took too long to work which is why I sought out natural remedies. Turmeric, Echinacea, Zinc, and Lysine supplements won’t hurt either. Good luck! Update 2.22.2022 While my natural remedies were helpful, they weren’t powerful enough to stop my constant outbreaks since I was in the early stages of contracting HSV2. Since November 2021, I’ve been on a daily dose of 500mg Valcyclovir which I plan to wean off of soon. However, if I even feel the slightest tingle or itch, femiclear has been my absolute go-to for topical relief. I also purchased a 15mL frosted glass dropper on Amazon to put the product in. As soon as I got a new tube, I squeezed the contents into the glass bottle. This has been genius as the dropper gives you more control over how much product you’re using AND I was able to see that after the product has been sitting for a bit, some separation starts to occur. So you’ll want to shake up the product before use regardless of what container you use it out of. Hope this helps!

Let’s just start with- if you were in the middle of the deepest parts of a forest…..you will be found on SCENT ALONE. I have cats and a cane corso & hunnnyyy when this product is used - the whole house is aware. The smell is not discreet - if anything it adds to the situation of not only the “feeling” of what you’re dealing with - but now this product is all you smell and feel it is a clear distinctive smell for anyone else because there is no other scent like it. At first application- sure, you’re thinking, those reviews I read were so extreme- but no, no, no, you should apply 4 times per day minimum- so at this point, the scent feels as if it is overpowering everything and you are walking around with a big H on your chest. The scent is certainly something that makes me HIGHLY reluctant to use it and the “healing” or “faster healing” is hard to determine because I’ve honestly been so lost in how I smell to really notice if it works better / faster. If the scent was more so like the wash- mild and not as attention grabbing- sure, but they’re volumes apart. Oh?! And let’s not even talk about the packaging?! Why is an OIL pouring out of a tube, why not a dropper or a thicker consistency if a squeezable tube is the company’s preference. A highly oil based product is being lost in a tube intended for ointments or creams. So again, don’t know where this company’s mindset landed with that…but maybe look at the consistency before deciding the packaging?

It works. It does have a strong smell but it doesn't bother me at all. It burns for a few minutes after you first put it on but then it has a numbing effect and the area feels much better. It's expensive and a strange consistency but it definitely works and I will continue to buy it.

It's my first time using it. I was expecting like a white cream, but I squeeze it and it's like oil coming out of the tube when I put it on, there was a stink on a burning sensation that right now I'm writing my review on it. Still having gone away. So I don't even know if I like it. Especially the smell is horrible. It smells like burning, rubber

Omg I’d give this 10 stars if I could. I almost didn’t buy this bc of the negative reviews, but went ahead and bought out of desperation and hope. Not even done with my first day and this stuff is amazing. My symptoms are almost gone. I know it isn’t cheap, but if you are on the fence about this, take the chance.
