As expected
I use this brand often. Decent price for orris root. Grounds well into powder, scent is as it should be, extracts nicely in tinctures. Gives proper medicinal and metaphysical properties.

Worked wonderful. I highly recommend.

Nice earthy scent.
Iโve never used orris root before so I donโt have a comparison. I made sachets with the 12 herbs of Winter Soltice, the orris root added a really nice earthy scent. Itโs pricey, but Iโm glad it spent the money. I would buy again.

Happy with purchase
Smells amazing. I use it in homemade compound gin where it really helps balance all of the different botanical flavors.

Many insects
Good product, reputable well regarded company. Unfortunately upon opening the sealed bag and poring the contents into a bowl, small beetle like bugs started running up the sides of the bowl. It is a agricultural product so impurities, and insects are a part of the process. The game of shake the bowl and kill the bugs commenced. After 30 bugs I froze the orris root and sifted through a fine kitchen mesh to remove any droppings. Ended up with 75 gm of product. Much of that could have been fine powder, or bug poop I'll never know, but that is about an oz of waste out of 4.

Terrible
This stuff is terrible. I used it to hold the scent of essential oils for potporri (I was following a recipe found online). I used some strong oils, but no matter how much oil I used, this would not hold the scent. Unfortunately it cannot be returned. Lesson learned.
