I have read quite a few reviews stating that this jerky was way too hot for their consumption pleasure. The name on the package says it all. This isn't some gas station jerky that you purchase and hope to get heat but only get disappointed. I really enjoy this jerky and the flavor composition of it. As soon as I open the bag and broke off a piece I had a feeling that this was going to be some heat that I'm not familiar with. Within seconds of consuming my tongue began to burn and I was immediately impressed with the heat. After the heat in my mouth and stomach went away I felt a sigh of relief. Eating spicy food is good for you and I really enjoy this jerky. I recommend this jerky to anyone who has a high tolerance for heat and enjoys the burn of extremely spicy food... You won't be disappointed.

This one was extremely painful once it hit my gut. To preface I'm a huge heat hobgoblin. I eat anything and everything spicy, with Carolina Reaper being my favorite tasting. I have many peppers under my belt like Chocolate X, and sauces like The Last Dab XXX, Elijah's Xtreme Regret This one I thought was just going to be another spicy snack to try, and boy I was wrong. The Ghost pepper and Habanero made me think this was much lower in spice at first, until I had a quarter-size portion. Starting off, the taste was great! This combination of the best tasting peppers hit that sweet spot many heatseekers know and love. The well seasoned jerky was masterfully made, looked like an eldritch monster's leathery flesh that once consumed would turn me into a dragonkin... and it shortly did. It hit me, my mouth began to sear, and my skin to wither away. I felt the agony inside, the burning sensation. My stomach was a cauldron of molten lava, soon to be my flame sac that would channel my inner fire. Soon enough my scales began to sweat profusely, my mind astray, I took to rest and let the moment pass knowing that I am too weak. With my mind in a daze and my vision in a steamy haze, one feeling my fire brethren know too often, I did my best to endure. I used what little strength I had to fight the flames with anything to drink. After a good 20 minutes to pain passed I became grounded with reality, coming to my senses. Great spice 10/10

I'd say Jurassic Jerky's Insanity Beef Jerky is a great pick for anyone who enjoys a spicy snack. When i opened the bag, i noticed a strong, inviting aroma. The jerky has a nice, chewy texture that’s satisfying without being too tough. The heat level is impressive. It starts off with a warm kick, then builds to a noticeable spiciness that lingers. It’s definitely for those who appreciate a challenge, but it doesn’t overpower the rich, smoky flavor of the beef. The quality of the ingredients stands out, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into making this jerky. Overall, if you’re looking for a spicy jerky that delivers on flavor and heat, this one is definitely worth a try.

So, first off: I'm not one for insane hot/spicy stuff. HOWEVER! I am attempting some of the food challenges you see that go viral: Hot Ones Pringles, Carolina Reaper Cheetos, and now the newest addition: Jurassic Jerky. I ordered 3 of these, since only two other co-workers wanted to try it with me. One co-worker took a nibble and was like "Nope." The other one ate it and said it was really good and just snacked on the rest of his bag straight up devouring it. He also warned it would probably kill me lol. I tried mine. Took a nice sized bite and felt the heat almost immediately. It didn't get TOO terrible and was more or less tolerable. Sure, it was a bit hot but I powered through. First co-worker didn't believe I ate a big enough piece so I finished off the one I had tore from. BIG. MISTAKE. Yeah, it was suuuuuuper hot. Now, I know I'm a lightweight at heat normally, but my tolerance has been kicking in somewhat past few years. Taste (here's where the opinion lies): To me, it wasn't very flavorful hot, but it felt like just hot for the sake of being hot. The few moments I could taste the beef itself, it didn't taste bad. However, most of the time I could only taste like it had been soaked in regular hot sauce that just had tons of everything hot added to it. I'm sure there are people who actually LOVED this product (like co-worker), but it just wasn't for me. Now if it were a flavorful hot, then perhaps I would have liked the taste better. Overall, if you're interested in the challenge aspect, or you are just a hot-flavor fiend, then this product is absolutely worth giving a try!

Genuinely one of the only beef jerky that advertised itself as what it was. I love spice, but man i felt the first piece burn all the way through my GI tract and only after an hour of sweating and cramping was I feeling better. Fantastic taste, genuinely insane spice. 10/10 would lay on my bathroom floor for an hour any day.

Purchased this along with the Inferno XXX from the same company. This one is definitely much hotter. I would say personally I prefer the Inferno as the flavor is quite a bit better. The quality of the jerky is great. Not super tough but not too tender. This stuff will light you up if you are not accustomed to spicy foods. I do wish the heat lasted a bit longer because within a few minutes of eating, the spice was gone. Even without drinking anything, the heat just doesn't last. It did leave my stomach feeling a bit off, but that too, only lasted a little while. I wouldn't hesitate recommending to anyone who likes spicy foods.

The name fits like a glove, this jerky not only tastes good it’s insanely HOT 🥵 you might want to wear gloves when you eat it. If you can’t take extreme heat then it’s not for you. But if you like intense heat, you found the right one right here. Definitely buy it again.

So me and my friend who love all things spicy each sampled a small piece about a half dollar sized and mind you I love Mad Dog 357 sauce and my friend has done the Paqui One Chip Challenge with minimal side effects. We had some minor initial heat and the flavor was actually pretty good as well, I’d say it’s decently hot but nothing unbearable. Then about 20 minutes later me and him both had excruciating stomach pain that lasted about an hour and a half for me and it was bad enough for him he had to go home. I’m from ABQ,NM and have grown up eating Hatch Chile etc for over 30 years. I regularly use all kinds of extreme hot sauces and never have had pain like this. It was so bad I’d just say it’s not worth it. The day before this I made homemade salsa and threw a ton of Mad Dog 357 Gold Edition,(which has the plutonium extract in it too), and ate a big serving with no problems. In all my years of eating hot foods I’ve never had this type of stomach pain. I know it’s not just cumulative pain either because I ate hot stuff for dinner cause I’m insane and I had no further stomach pains.
