Windproof Travel Umbrella Auto Open Close, Compact 42" Folding Umbrella

I really like this umbrella. It’s compact enough to fit perfectly in my purse, making it easy to carry every day. Even though it’s small when folded, it opens to a good size and provides great coverage. It handled the rain well and felt sturdy, even on windy days. The opening and closing mechanism works smoothly, and the quality exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a portable and reliable umbrella.

I have only had my umbrella for a few days, but so far it works great! I travel quite a bit and am on the road more than 50% of the time. Because I travel so much a very compact umbrella is important to me. The EEZ-Y is lightweight and compact. It fits in my backpack, or my suitcase, without taking up too much room. A golf umbrella is really good for providing a large footprint and keeping the rain off of you, but they aren't exactly small and don't pack well. The footprint of the EEZ-Y is significantly smaller comparatively, but it's perfect for walking the crowded streets of NYC when it's raining without hitting all of the other umbrellas on the sidewalk. You might be able to squeeze two people under it as long as you both don't mind getting a little wet, and you really like each other. Otherwise, for me, it's just about perfect. I read several reviews where people complained that they could only get a few fingers on the handle. It is definitely a small, nubby handle. If you have big hands, you won't be able to get more than two or three fingers on it. I have fairly normal-sized hands and I can grip it with my thumb and three fingers no problem. The grip is also rubbery and provides plenty of leverage and grip to stabilize the umbrella. However, if you want a larger grip you may want to look at a different sized umbrella. Again, I was going for something that is compact. The one-touch button for opening and closing the umbrella works just fine. Keep in mind that when you close the umbrella that it doesn't fold all the way back down. The button will close the canopy, and then you must manually collapse the umbrella. This is under tension, but unless you have problems with arthritis or some other physical disability this shouldn't be an issue. You could even push it into the floor if it was too difficult, but I don't find it to be an issue. I also have been amazed at EEZ-Y’s customer service! When I registered my umbrella I made a note that I thought the color was a bit off, and that the grey looked a bit too green. EEZ-Y promptly arranged to have the umbrella replaced with a different color – without me asking! They have been extremely polite and responsive to emails throughout the process. Top notch customer service! Other than the grey color being slightly off I have yet to find any faults with the construction, materials, or operation of the umbrella.So far, I am really enjoying the umbrella and the service offered by EEZ-Y. I would definitely recommend this to someone!

good product, portable, light, stands in strong wind and good even it a short bouts of heavy rain, good sun shade. Dries easily and opens and closes easily too with the press of the button, just needs a bit of force to completely close it. But overall a good item.

I’ve owned this umbrella 2.5 years - using it every time it’s rained- and it’s still going strong! I check the weather forecast each and every time before going out to see if it’s going to rain (I don’t want to get my hair wet!). This umbrella opens quickly (and powerfully) when pushing the button (closes easily too). It’s light-medium weight (not the lightest but also not heavy) - I would call it the Goldilocks of umbrellas. This umbrella can take a bit of wind as it has a gusset like canopy and is made VERY well! I’m very impressed with the quality and durability - the product is well deserving a excellent review!

I have been repurchasing this umbrella every 5 years or so for over 10 years. The quality is impeccable and the umbrella really can sustain strong winds without bending. It’s portable, easy drying, and effective at blocking a rain shower. The only thing to note is the umbrella takes force to push the head down. It auto-shuts at the press of a button, then you must forcefully push the head closed. I’m on the small side so it takes effort, but it’s worth the trade off of a well made, sturdy item. I recommend over other brands or options.

I bought this for my son and we both love it. The red color is so vibrant and pretty! The quality is great, and the push-button to open it is super practical. It’s also very easy to close, but my favorite part is the vent on top. It lets the wind pass through so the umbrella doesn't flip inside out on gusty days. My son is happy with it and it feels really sturdy. Highly recommend!

I've bought 2 of these because everyone keeps using them and not bringing them back. They are very sturdy, very compact and have help up very well over the years. I highly recommend you buy a couple as they will last a very long time.

I've had this umbrella for about a month now during the rainy season. It's held up fairly well. I purchased it because of the lifetime warranty. I was looking for a compact travel umbrella after my last one fell apart. The trouble with umbrellas is that they don't hold up to the conditions you'd typically need them in... like a rain storm where the wind is blowing. I figured the double layer open slit thing would help spill some of the wind. After owning this one for a little while, I think that the wind spillage is somewhat of a falsehood. The fabric is pulled so tight that the wind doesn't escape at all. The umbrella is, however, designed somewhat flat so that the wind just kind of spills out the sides instead. But one could very easily purchase a single layer umbrella and have the same result. Another feature of this umbrella that I really like, aside from the lifetime warranty, is that it's designed to open upward, say in a heavy wind, and then pop back to normal without breaking anything. So of course, I put that to the test right away and sure enough it worked as expected. Other umbrellas not designed for this are just too frustrating and should be labeled as "disposable" because after your first rain storm you're gonna have to toss it in the trash anyway. Some points I did find disappointing, however, were that the fabric seemed to become waterlogged pretty quickly. I noticed this during a fairly light rain day too. I felt some water drops hit me while under the umbrella and sure enough the fabric near the peak was soaked through. The umbrella also became twisted on one occasion so far when collapsing it. Two of the supports had crossed over on themselves somehow while collapsing it with the spring closure. Fortunately I noticed it and was able to untangle them to store it away properly. But it was definitely a disappointment in its function. That said, however, I did buy a second one for my wife... again because of the lifetime warranty. Funny enough, however, I was standing in the grocery store on Valentine's Day and came across a very similar umbrella, also with a lifetime warranty, for about half the cost and with much better decor on their canopies. So that too was somewhat disappointing to see. I'll keep looking for the half-price ones at my local grocery store for the kids.

I’m really happy with this umbrella. It’s super sturdy and thus far surviving the British climate! It has a button to put it away as well as to open it. It’s not lightweight, but I’ve lost a few umbrellas that were and so I think it’s a positive!
