VELCRO Brand - Thin Clear Tape

I picked up this VELCRO Brand Thin Clear Tape (15 ft x ¾”) because I needed something low-key for quick fixes around the house and in my home office setup. I travel quite a bit for work, so I wanted a versatile fastener that could handle temporary mounts without leaving a mess or looking bulky. The clear design appealed to me for stuff on glass or plastic where you don’t want anything obvious showing. I expected a simple, strong hook-and-loop tape that would stick reliably on smooth surfaces and let me reposition things easily. It mostly met those expectations, though not perfectly in every case. The tape is super easy to cut to whatever length you need. I’ve used short strips to secure a small router to the underside of my desk so it stays put but I can still access cables. Another practical use: mounting a lightweight mirror on a bathroom cabinet door without drilling holes. It blends in nicely because it’s clear and thin—almost disappears on glass or clear plastic. Pros: - The low-profile design keeps things looking clean, unlike thicker Velcro that stands out. - Adhesive is decent on smooth surfaces like glass, tile, metal, or plastic. - Water-resistant enough for indoor spots that might get a bit damp. - Good for crafts or light organization—think holding posters, labels, or keeping cords tidy without permanent glue. It holds up to a couple pounds as advertised for lighter items, and the hook-and-loop part grips well once pressed together. On the downside, the adhesive isn’t the strongest I’ve used. On textured walls or painted surfaces, it can peel up over time, especially if you’re removing and reattaching often. I tried it on one rougher spot and had to clean residue afterward. It’s not ideal for heavy items or outdoor use in extreme weather, even if the package mentions indoor/outdoor versatility. The roll gives you plenty of length, but you go through it faster than expected on bigger projects. Value for money is solid for what it is. You get 15 feet for a reasonable price, and it’s way cheaper than buying multiple packs of pre-cut strips. For occasional home and office needs, it feels worth it—better than cheap no-name alternatives that don’t stick as well. But if you need industrial-level hold, you might want something heavier duty. Overall, it’s a handy tool for everyday practical fixes: securing lightweight decorations, organizing remote controls on a nightstand, or even temporary mounts when I’m setting up a travel workspace in a hotel (though I mostly use it at home in Florida). It’s not revolutionary, but it does the job for light-duty fastening without fuss.

Nice Velcro. I used it to attach fabric to the side of a chair to keep the cat from scratching . Works very well. If needed I will buy again.

Great product but don’t buy it from Amazon .I tried to and actually never received this product. I received a 4 inch piece of Velcro. I advised them that a mistake had been made so they sent me as a replacement - he same 4 inch piece of Velcro! I never received the 15 foot roll. I had to buy it elsewhere. It’s a great product but don’t get it from Amazon where it's shipped form an incompetent 3rd party seller. And by the way, as a PS, I was refunded for the 15 foot roll I never got but then Amazon charged my card again (without permission) because they claim I didn’t return the product that I was refunded for. HOW CAN I RETURN SOMETHING I NEVER GOT, but they just charged my card! Beware - buy this product elsewhere!

I have this on the wall for remote controls. It looks almost invisible from far away, while before, I had some thick black velcro on the white wall. It looked tacky. The remotec ontrols stick, but will knock off way easier than the thicker old black velcro. There is a huge difference with this thin velcro compared to the thicker kind as far as adhesion strength. Example: I think it takes 5 to 10 times the strength to pull the remote straight off with the thicker black type I have. So, there is no comparison between traditional thicker velcro strength and this one. The only question is if the value of the clear and thin properties outweighs the needs of adhesion strength. Because, it really looks good, almost invisible on white. I guess all I can report, is its strong enough for my remote controls as long as I don't brush by them, as they knock off easily.

...so it had to be something that didn't show up on the wall when I removed my vinyl banners. Method also had to be strong enough eot hold them, and easy enough to remove without damage to wall or artwork. Clear tape Velcro had just come out at the time— velcro is always making different varieties or adding rolls, strips, squares or circles, do I tried it. (Previously we had been using hooks and wire hund from the ceiling, and nothing ever hung at the right level, it was time consuming and ugly. Being able to hang them flat against the wall could work, that would be the best solution. Worked far better than I could have hoped for. Did a small test srip before adding it to the walls for 8 two foot wide, six foot long banners of a few pounds each. Because other organizations use the same room and do their own decorations, I bought a roll of it and did an entire strip across the wall down from the top at the most convenient level. That way anybody could use it at that height and not have to worry about placement. Gave the unused strip to the Park District for their future decorations. Since the entire top edge of the banners was one strip, it alway held securely and looked great. To remove the, just started at one edge and ran a letter opener across the top.

Such a great idea to have this in a roll for large projects. I taped my bed skirt on a platform bed to change the look of my room. Worked great and quite a large roll for the price. I used one roll for a full size bed and it was just about the perfect length. Easy to use and holds very well.

I need a board with days of the week, months, weather, etc. for our homeschool, so the things I made with this velcro are handled by little hands every day of the week. It is holding up very well and is nice and low profile - the laminated pieces stick out just enough for kids to get their fingers under and peel off. Love it and will definitely order more if I ever run out!

This stuff is amazing. I was hoping it would hold to canvas but I had my doubts and had E6000 as a backup plan, but this stuff worked perfect! It's nice and thin, so it doesn't make whatever you are attaching stick out like the thicker stuff does.

It was perfect and exactly what we wanted. The transparency and the thinness was great!

This is original one I guess; I have used it on windows to fix mosquito curtain as mesh. It working excellent so far.

A product that simply delivers. 1. Ease of Use. The velcro is easy to use - no special skills or tools required. 2. Versatile. The velcro adheres to varies surfaces with ease. It sticks quickly and holds strong. 2. Aesthetic Appeal. The clear tape does not draw any attention to it.

Worked great to hang a Perspex panel. Easy to use. Early days but looks like the item will stay stuck.
