5 Hours Upright Cruisin' Around Town and Parks with NO PAIN Whatsoever!
For me, this seat was a game changer. I had just bought myself an awesome beach cruiser with great ergonomics. It was so much fun just riding the d*** thing that I'd keep at it for hours even though the stock seat would start getting uncomfortable after an hour or so. Around the two-hour mark, it'd be f***ing painful. So, I did my research. ... which included asking other cyclists--of all sorts (even the super-serious, super-fit road-racer types)--whether you just HAD TO get used to the discomfort if you were going to ride long stretches, particularly when seated upright. What I concluded was that most riders simply accepted the discomfort as inevitable and either endured it or cut their riding short. From this I inferred that if you want to ride long without any discomfort, you'd need to go with something kinda radical. ... LIKE A SEAT THAT'S 13" WIDE!!!! That's what this is. It also has its own suspension (which absorbs smaller bumps in a noticeable way!), a nice groove down the center (which makes circulation a non-issue), and a substantial layer of reactive gel (which seems to be just the right stiffness/softness). Let me reiterate, this thing is huge, so huge in fact that it will look quite wrong when you first put it on your bike. My bike is a monster and this seat made it look comical, initially. But the look kinda grew on me after a while, and now *other* bike seats look pretty pathetic. They look like they're *supposed* to hurt! And that brings me to my main point: This seat is so comfortable, it made me all the more eager to keep riding. I don't feel the need to get off and stretch my legs. I can just keep gliding along for hours and hours. It's pure pleasure. I can't count the number of times I've jumped on my bike thinking I'll just get a quick ride in to get the blood flowing, take in some fresh air, and clear my head--and then stay out for around 2 hours. It's definitely helping me get in better shape, and I'm smiling all the way. There was this one night where I noticed I was indeed starting to feel sore. I checked my watch and realized that I'd been going for about 5.5 hours. I can live with that. Depending on your bike's frame, you may need to experiment with ways to get the seat positioned just right. (I had no such trouble, but some reviewers seemed to.) What I'd say is: It's worth it. One more thing: Some people are very much performance-oriented when it comes to biking. I'm not sure this is the right seat for, say, more or less aggressive mountain bikers or spandex-clad road racers. For one thing, I think more competitive types will find this far too heavy, and weight matters to them. For my own part, if I ever get back into mountain biking, I'll still give this seat a shot. I kinda doubt it'll pay off, but who knows? (Seriously, does anyone know?) For now, though, and for the kind of casual cruising I'm into, I don't think there's a better seat. I've tried a handful of well-reviewed alternatives; I wound up giving them away. If more people knew how comfortable this seat is, we'd have a lot more people doing a lot more biking. Yep, I really believe that.

Very comfortable, large and a bit heavy.............
Okay, yes agreed this is a large seat indeed, but I'm over 40 years old and don't quite have the duration that I used to for riding long distances on my bike, this seat will help you want to ride further by being more comfortable. I find this seat to be much more comfortable than the normal small hard bike seat that most bikes come with. Please note that there is no seat post mounting hardware included to attach this seat to the bike. The mounting rails underneeth this seat are however the standard size of 85% of all seats made on bikes, so most people will not need to order an extra mounting piece. If needed the mounting bracket can be purchased for about $8 to $10. You should be able to take the existing mounting bracket from your current seat post and move it over to the new seat with the loosening of one bolt, but this will not work in all cases. Check ahead to see if this will be needed so that you can order bracket at the same time as the new seat. I was able to mount this seat on two bikes using the existing seat mounting bracket with no problems. Also this seat is really not light weight so for the person that is concerned with any extra weight on their bike this is not the seat for you! Do you want comfort or do you want a light weight bike, it all depends on what you want from your bike experience??

Excellent bike for big guys like me
I recently purchased a mountain bike for casual riding around the neighborhood and my local park. I haven't ridden a bike in about 10 years or more so many of the factors that go along with getting a bike and its parts are new to me. I'm a pretty big guy. I weigh about 350 lbs and I'm 5'11. After I rode my new bike 2 times around the block I immediately started feeling pain in my seat. I decided to try a larger bike seat from the casual male web site. It was a little better but it still produced some pain after about 10 to 20 minutes. After reading some of the reviews on this seat I decided to give it a try. One of the previous reviews mentioned that this seat was so big that its comical. It is pretty big but it actually was not as big as I was thinking it would be based on that review. In my opinion, it is more thick than it is wide. The biggest adjustment I had to make was tilting it to where I didn't feel awkward from the seat tilting to far up or slide down the seat from it tilting too far down. After a little bit of riding and adjusting it feels perfect. And I can ride on this seat for a long time without feeling any kind of pain. Yes it does look much bigger than a normal seat but if you are thinking about buying this seat I'm sure your focus is not on how pretty you look on your bike. You want to feel comfortable so that you can ride and not have to stop every few minutes because of butt pain. This seat is a great buy if you are a big guy and want a seat that can hold up to long rides with no pain. I should also mention that because of the seat's thickness it will change how you pedal and this takes some getting used to since you will sit up higher on your bike than before.

Biggest, dorkiest, MOST COMFORTABLE seat ever
Go big or go home? This seat has to be the most ridiculous looking seat ever made, but it's also probably the most comfortable (aside from recumbent bike seats). I actually would have been fine with something about 12" wide, but there is nothing out there between 10" and 14" (except the Serfas seat for exercise bikes which I assume has a different mounting system). This is like sitting on a cushy office chair. Note it's also about 3.5" thick (not including the rails) so looks really huge from the back (though it's hard to see how big it is when you're sitting on it). I have it on a 20" wheel folding commuter so it looks even bigger! Clown bike? I actually have a couple inches of unused seat surface out back (no choice since otherwise I can't pedal), and only use about 12" in width (basically my butt doesn't touch anything outside the stripe). This seat will definitely work better on a cruiser bike where the pedals are significantly forward of the seat (then you could sit back farther, since your thighs wouldn't pull you forward on the down stroke) but it still works okay on mountain/urban bikes. I'm not even that heavy (195), but I've tried about a dozen seats and they all hurt my goodies, my tail bone, or all over. This is the first seat that I can ride miles and miles without pain. Maybe I have a bony butt? The last seat I tried was "The Seat" which is hornless. It worked very well and was the most comfortable seat I had tried (until I tried this one) but still gave me all-over butt pain after 5 or so miles (I bet if they made a 12" wide version instead of 9" wide the extra surface area would make it almost as comfortable as the Super Cruiser). The graphics/striping is half worn off after a 10 mile ride... not a big deal, just wonder why they bother putting it on there if it'll be gone so fast. I'll probably still swap this seat for The Seat if I have to bring my bike on the bus/train (the Super Cruiser is too bulky if you need to fit your folding bike in your bus/train seat), but for trail rides or direct rides with no bus/train in the middle I'll stick with this. People may think I look like Dwayne Dibbley sitting on this but I'll be quite smug and happy about my comfort.

Too big
I bought this just because I wanted to try it out. I assumed I would be returning it and unfortunately I was right. Padding: felt good. REAL good Cover: like nylon. Your butt WILL slide off Size: should cover most gigantic butts HOWEVER the overall design was too large. Pedaling became a pain as my legs/thighs rubbed against the side of the seat. Conclusion: it's more of a comedy prop than a realistic bike seat alternative... Alright

My ass is forever grateful
This seat is undeniably the most comfortable bike seat ever. I have just taken up riding again. I'm a bigger guy, and I commute to work 9 miles each way daily in the hopes that I will become a less bigger guy, and eventually a smaller guy. On the saddle that came with my bike, it felt like someone poured hot coals down me britches after half a mile. I had to get off and walk after 5 miles. With this saddle, the whole ride to and from work is no problem. I could do more than 9 miles easily. I think I could go as far as my legs will allow. The bike was $4000 (seems crazy, but worth it). And the seat is now one of my favorite parts of the bike. If you've got a huge ass, this seats for you. TIP: put a thin piece of cardboard on top of the seat when mounting. Then place a level on the seat (level facing front to back) to find dead level. The cardboard is needed because the seat has an asscrack groove running down the middle and you need to not put the level down that lest your level will read incorrectly. You can't eyeball level on this seat because of the asscrack groove. It's some weird optical illusion. I gained a MASSIVE comfort upgrade from this saddle when I leveled it. It was good at first. But after leveling it it was amazing. Happy cycling!

Great Seat, Very Comfortable!
I put this seat on my Sixthreezero "In The Barrell" and used the existing saddle clamp that was on the bike when I bought it new. The seat is very comfortable and has extended my rides. The bike itself has no shocks so bumps transmit to the rider in full force, this seat takes that down by half or more in my opinion. I'm a big guy and riding to lose weight and get a cardio workout so with my bulk and no suspension on the bike this seat is a life saver. It is big though, very wide and will bring you up a few inches so be ready to be lower the seat post to accommodate the thickness of this one. Also keep in mind that this is a rail seat so you will most likely need to use the clamp that is your bike seat now to get this one to work.

Great Comfort and Well Worth It
We replaced the seats on both of our bikes and they proved to be amazing. The old seats were too small for our aging derrières so we decided to replace them with bigger ones. We noticed the difference immediately. We no longer feel any discomfort when cycling. The seats are little pricey but well worth it. We highly recommend these seats.
