Brain Games - Color by Number: Butterflies

I absolutely love this color-by-number book. The butterfly designs are beautiful and detailed without being overwhelming, making it very relaxing to work on. The paper quality is great and holds up well with colored pencils and markers without much bleed-through. The numbers are clear and easy to read, and the finished pages look vibrant and satisfying. This is perfect for unwinding, stress relief, or just enjoying some quiet creative time. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys coloring or brain games.

Love this book. It’s so pretty and makes relaxing fun.

What I love: - Every picture in this book looks fun to color. I've done four pictures now and they are so pretty. - Spiral bound and designs on only one side of the paper. My marker goes through the paper but not to the next page. Even so, I still put a piece of paper between. - Spiral bound and perforated. So I can copy the picture easily onto another kind of paper, if I want to. So far I haven't. - The back side of the picture, when I use markers, shows through the colors faintly and is as pretty as the front side that shows all the lines. I love this. - Many pictures to color, and you can choose one with large areas to color or one with smaller areas to color, or both. You can color by number and then do them fancy with shading and artwork or leave them "flat" and have a fun picture. - I'm new to color by number and absolutely love it. - The paper is nice for markers. I haven't tried pencils, crayons, paints or watercolor pencils yet, but I don't expect any problems. I'm having so much fun with the markers that I haven't wanted to try anything else. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because: - It's difficult to match the colors. I can look at the solutions to see what the picture should look like, and then choose the colors accordingly. I think the colors on the bottom of the page are not very good for matching, kind of faded or something. - And I wish it was one code throughout, in other words that each number corresponded with the same color throughout. In one picture 1 might be red and in another picture, red might be 3. - My Sharpie fine markers seem to react with the paper somehow and produce some sort of fumes, not overly strong but I am sensitive to smells. (The markers always have an odor but this is different and only on this paper. It hasn't happened with any other papers except this one.) My husband cannot smell it. I have a pet bird and I am little concerned about the fumes. The Bic ultrafine markers don't react to the paper. If this continues to bother me, I will copy the page onto some smooth cardstock and color it there. Even though there is the smell, the paper is very nice to use markers on. Bottom line, I love this coloring book and am considering either buying another copy of it or see what other books this company has and trying some of those.

It's a must have great when your on a family trip, it helps to keep the children calm.

Excellent for Alcohol marker coloring! This is my fifth color by number from brain games and they are all AMAZING! The palettes are beautiful and cohesive. The spaces are big enough to not have to worry about bleeding into other areas. One picture per page, put paper in between pages and you’re golden. You will not regret buying their color by numbers.
