This ashtray is great, I like the little light that’s on when it’s opened. It’s a good sized and quality item. It’s hard to say if it’s smell proof because my car smells like smoke anyways. I also like the little tool it came with to clean, and it’s nice it came with an extra battery !

I bought this for my husband’s long commutes to a new job. We live in Colorado and it’s been so dry this year, throwing your cigarette butt out the window is dangerous and really, just plain rude. He never does it. This really keeps his car smelling much better than anything else we have tried. The size is perfect for his cup holder. We bought this in January and have not had to even think about the battery yet. It looks nicer than and open ash tray as well and is easy to set up and clean out. Absolutely recommend.

I got this because even though I smoke I do make efforts to never litter the butts. The built in light is actually kinda annoying if you have night blindness like I do haha, but besides that it works fine. Ive been able to just drop cigarettes straight in there without even crushing the cherry out and they have gone out but I of course highly recommend always making sure the cherry is crushed and the lid is shut after your dispose of the butt ! It’s easy to empty and I like that it keeps ash out of my back seat (cause as all smokers know it’s inevitable when you’re going to ash out a window while driving). It also completely muffles the smell of the cigarette butts, my car does not smell like an ash tray. No need to put water in it or anything either. I will say though that the light kind of began to break only two months in to having this thing and now it kind of just flickers, but as I stated before the light bothered me anyway so I don’t really care that it’s gone out. Also the sun/heat ended up warping the lid to it but like just the rubber part in the center the actual lid still completely closes and works just fine.

It keeps the smell of cigarettes in the container, it stays shut, and it obviously won't melt as it's made of metal. It's easy to dump and clean. My only complaint is that the light is not bright at all. The pictures attached show how the light does work. However, it just doesn't illuminate the surrounding area. I always have to turn on the dome light to put the cigarette filters in there if it's dark.

Hold up I didn't get the clearer or brush. I only got the ash tray. It's good quality but I'd loved to have git everything advertised. Light still works. I don't like when I close it smoke still comes out. The lid doesn't seal well.

Update: 1/2024- the first purchased in 2021 lasted 2+ years (maybe would’ve lasted longer if it hadn’t been stolen).. second purchased in 2023 lasted a year. Taking a chance on a 3rd because I do like the quality of this product! This ashtray in my SUV is perfect! The quality is the best I’ve had out of many. It is medium weight (body is metal), lid is heavy plastic. The size is not too big, not too small.. just right! Easy to empty- easy to clean! Big plus that the bottom unscrews & empty from there! (Try emptying other ashtrays from the top- been there, done that.) Washing is a breeze too because of the bottom lid access. The little light is great also- it’s not too bright & distracting at night. Of course it does not keep your car odor free but does work better than any others I have tried. I did read all reviews before my purchase & don’t agree with a lot of the negatives. Needs emptying maybe once a week (unless you’re a chain smoker & live in your car). Don’t know how long the light will last. I have had it for 5 months now & completely happy with my purchase.

Easy to clean

Works well. Seals very well when lid is closed. Light could be a bit brighter and it doesnt work when real cold but that is an LED trait. Hopefully battery lasts as it looks to be difficult to replace battery
