1440p at 60Hz (2560 x 1440) is finicky. My Windows laptop running through a dock works fine. My Linux desktop driving the displays directly drops to 30Hz when these are plugged in. HDMI (I only have one port) and another set of adapters I purchased work fine and drive the displays at max frequency. I don't know why these behave differently depending on what's plugged in.
