This is smaller than I thought it would be but works great for knocking the ice that builds up in the wheel wells during the winter. Since that is the main reason I purchased it, I gave it 5 stars. Digging something significant would take a little time. It also takes up almost no room when folded and stowed.

More of a novelty item or a shovel to carry to avoid a citation. The shovel is very thin and flimsy would work in soft soul but that's about it. All that being said I carry it in my truck. It's very compact and well it beats not having any type of shovel

Got this a few weeks back because I decided to be CHEAP, well....you get what you pay for. I was hiking up in the Catskills when nature called, so figuring that I'm properly equipped for these situations I got ready to dig a hole. Ground was moss covered and not so hard-packed. First thrust down into the dirt and this piece of "what I needed to do" bent quicker than a sinner kneeling at a pew. What a waste of money. DO NOT BUY. SPEND THE MONEY AND GET A QUALITY TOOL. I gave it one star because amazon forces you to give SOME star rating.

A little flimsy. Not as sturdy as I had hoped. I feel over time with a lot of use it may not hold up. But at the price point I am happy. It will be going in my B.O.B. and only used in an emergency. Comes in a great little camo bag that is just slightly bigger than my hand. Compact for storing in your pack.

Purchased this shovel for my first camping trip. Item arrived and was packaged inside of the included storage bag. When i went to get it out of the bag the zipper broke off. The shovel itself seems ok, but seems very fragile, metal is thin and I think would bend very easily on heavy use. I used it to make a small trench with the pick side and it worked ok but I would not want to put to much pressure on it because I feel it would break. The case itself is thin and the zipper is really flimsy. Like I said it broke on the first pull. All in all I would look for a different shovel that is a little more beefy than this one. The nice thing about this shovel is it's size. Too bad it wasn't made with thicker stronger metal. I would not purchase this product again or recommend it to someone because of the thin metal and flimsy storage bag.

Love the versatility of this product!! While I use it primarily as a shovel when metal detecting, I do use the pick from time to time. I love that it fits into a small pouch that I can attach to my belt when it's not in use. And even the compass on the handle has come in handy while out in the woods..

First one was very rushed, screw was loose & it caused the shovel to not lock in place right. Company replaced got free, still found rust but was able to remove it from this one & everything else works correctly, No information with it & not professional sealed, find that odd. Otherwise very pleased with the customer service & company!

It's a bit spineless, and only useful for camp fire maintenance and latrine holes in sand (barely even soft ground and certainly not hard pack). Would not stand up to anything serious and wouldn't recommend putting it in your pack.
