Great quality

This is a wonderful lighter...until it breaks. I purchased two, the second after the first one failed. I take exceptionally good care of my things...drives my wife crazy. This lighter is great in retaining fuel, very much longer than a Zippo and it is practically odor free. Very smooth to operate as well. Really elegant. Problem is that it is extremely fragile. Though never dropped, the upper mechanism, that is, the striker bar, failed. Thinking this was a fluke, I bought another. A few months later, same thing. Impossible to contact manufacturer for possible repair. Emails were never responded to. Looks beautiful on paper with lots of information on how well it is made. The reality was quite different. Back to my reliable Zippo and Imco.

Master craft.. Will last generations.

I bought this because it got hyped up as being able to hold fluid for months. That may be if it's not sued at all but with daily use this thing requires refilling a couple of times a week. More than my zippo which is what I was trying to replace. It's more messy to fill than a zippo as well but overall is a much cleaner lighter and has a great look but I don't value form over function. This is going to end up in the back of drawer somewhere in the next few weeks.

Watched a bunch of YouTube videos about how quality and beautiful this lighter was, went and purchased one from here on Amazon (big mistake, you'll see why), and was really happy with a clearly quality lighter, until... It disintegrated in my hand as I lit a cigarette for the 50th time over the course of a week. As you can see in the picture, the flint roller wheels disintegrated in the most inconvenient location, rendering the lighter inoperable. I contacted Tokyo Pipe Co to get some help, and they effectively told me that they wouldn't offer any support, even sending me replacement parts at or for additional cost, because I hadn't bought through their official supplier (Urban EDC here in the US) - Urban EDC is and has been out of stock on these lighters for more than 6 months. I would not recommend this lighter, even for light tabletop-only use. It will break due to the delicacy of the flint wheel mechanism and soft brass construction, which will leave you with a very expensive and ineffective paperweight.

There is no support for how to repair or no way to contact the seller. Very disappointed, especially since it's so expensive. Build quality is horrible!
