Jump into the opening chapter of this wickedly funny and racy modern reintroduction of John Constantine! The dead can’t die again—even within the supernatural circles that surround John Constantine, some things are impossible. But when the ghosts that haunt the occult detective start being murdered, it becomes clear the rules have changed. Far worse than ordinary death, this second death means oblivion—no afterlife, no way back. To stop it, Constantine must explore the barriers between the mundane and the extraordinary: the thin places. The investigation takes the Hellblazer from New York City back home to London, where he joins up with an old rival, now an exorcist in Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Their dark, tangled history together is filled with music and magic, failed friendships and disastrous romance. But even if Constantine somehow survives the supernatural serial killer, the price involved could leave whatever’s left of his soul beaten and broken. CONSTANTINE: THE HELLBLAZER: GOING DOWN collects the first six issues of the groundbreaking series by celebrated writers Ming Doyle (THE KITCHEN) and James Tynion IV (BATMAN ETERNAL) and acclaimed artists Riley Rossmo ( Proof ) and Vanessa Del Rey ( Hit ). Good start to new series
This is a pretty good start to the new series. I really look forward to what is next. I have one small gripe about it. I felt like they brought up Constantine's sexuality way too often. I dont recall them mentioning it much before in prior series. Personally, his sexual preference does not matter to me, but to bring it up several times just feels forced to me. Also, im not to big on how they draw JC.

Almost as good as Hellblazer, far better than the preceding New 52 reboot
See my review of Vol 2 for my extended musings - no need to repeat those impressions here (I was essentially reviewing both Vol 1 and Vol 2 in my Vol 2 review).

He's Back!
Constantine is one of my favorite characters, and this first story is a great example why. I love the new look of John and the art overall. Very pleased, look forward to Vol 2.

Fully engaged
Above average graphic novel both in storyline and graphics. Read this in one sitting. This was my first hell blazer(Constantine) graphic novel and the truth is that I am engaged and compelled to purchase the other novels in this series.

I did not like this one
I know nothing about graphic novels, I did not like this one. Seeking out the original Constantine, don't think this is it

The cover was a little damaged and the delivery date really really late but overall the product was worth the wait

Ok

Constantine is back with hell blazing!
Constantine is such a dynamic; flaw character and this comic book brings it out perfectly. The author really knows what his source material is and the art style is simply amazing! I had a blast reading this specific comic series and would definitely recommend it! The plot was intriguing and it was really easy to read.

Endlich wieder Constantine pur

A return to glory
After the ehhh interpretation of Constantine in the New 52, this book is a breath of fresh air. It restores what makes the character so great, in contrast to the cowardly, pessimistic version of him that was made ultimately unlikable in Forever Evil Blight. The original status quo is reinstated, the edge and humour is done just right and the art is spectacular. This is a wonderful return to the Vertigo mystery series, while still offering something new and unique to the mythology of the character and how he works in the DC Universe.
