Sennheiser XS 1 Handheld Dynamic Microphone,Black

I wasn't sure what to expect with this cheaper mic, BUT it has surprised me on many levels. I actually bought it for smaller solo or combo gigs, but I may replace my Shure SM58's with these. Sound quality is fantastic and well worth the month!!!

First of all, I was shocked by the price. A Sennheiser mic with mute capability for less than $150.00? The quality is excellent and it works great with my cinema camera.

This is very nice! I have a $600 Sennheiser microphone, but this sounded like my expensive wireless Sennheiser. It’s worth for the price. Very good quality to use for practice or home karaoke.

Great microphone for close MC work or to pick up voices at a wedding ceremony. It worked so well for me I bought a 2nd mic. I would buy again if anyone ever does a mic drop with it (or have them buy it!).

This mic comes very close to Sennheisers higher-end handheld dynamic vocal mics. I was surprised by this. It has a similar sonic tone to the rest of Sennheiser's handheld dynamic vocal mic lineup, so if you like that house sound, youll like this mic. That said, like other Senn mics, this microphone doesn't give you the extra "help" with your voice like some other mics do, such as the venerable SM58. So, if you have a voice such that you are more comfortable with a mic that gives your voice an extra vibe and if you like to use proximity effect for tone, you might not like it.

First impressions: Everything about this microphone screams quality. It is very heavy for it's size, and the finishing is perfect. The pouch it comes with is perfectly sized for both the microphone and it's holder. The switch moves smoothly but firmly, and you can feel when it is in it's place. It may say "Made in China", but the German engineering is blatantly shown in every design feature of this device. I will do a follow up review in a few days after using it a few times to discuss it's connectivity and sound.

We love these microphones. They sound great.

当方、コロナ禍のテレワークを契機にあれこれマイクを購入しはじめた初心者。だが親父の影響でSansuiのアンプやTEACのオープンリールをいじりながら育ったこともあり、マイク沼にはまるのにさほど時間はかからなかった。 購入するマイクはDTMなどの用途ではなく、せいぜいYouTube配信やWEB会議などのライトな使い方のみ。 コンデンサーのクリアな音質に憧れ、オーテクAT2020や中華製品などをしばらく使っていた。しかしその多くがサイドアドレスタイプで、口元に近づければ近づけるほどPCの画面が見えにくいことに気付きはじめた。ならばと20センチも離せば、今度は外部音を拾い出し、どうも案配が良くない。 そこでハンドヘルドのダイナミックをいくつか購入した。XM8500やSM58など、配信にオススメと言われる機種を使ってみた。だが元々コンデンサーのクリアさを求めていたため、それらは低音域のこもりの点で不満だった。話し声を波形で見ても、明らかに200〜300Hzあたりが強くなっている。 SENNHEISER社の製品はPC7というヘッドセットのみ所持していたが、保有するマイク類の中でこれだけ中高音域の抜けが好みだったこともあり本機を購入。 まず、ボディの質感に感激した。中身が詰まっている感があり、触っただけでメカ好きの心を捉える。 音質はコンデンサーに近く、中高音域が気持ちよく駆け上がる。当方のようなバス系の声質にはとても良い。そして口元に近付けて話しても吹かれがほとんどない。これはボーカルマイクとしては大きなアドバンテージだ。 スイッチはスライド式。ヌルっという感覚でオンオフ時のノイズはほぼない。 外箱にはmade in chinaと小さく書かれてあった。ドイツ製を謳う同社Eシリーズとの決定的な違いはこれだろう。まぁ、同社の厳しい目で品質管理されているのだろうし、価格のメリットを享受できるのだから問題なし。 追記 感染対策を施した上で、200人参加のリアル社内会議を行った。司会役として、会場に備え付けられていたSM58と、持ち込んだ本機を何気に使い分けた。終了後、本機を使用した時間帯の声の通りが良かった、との評価を複数人から得た。

this mike fits my voice even when i put a lot of volume in my voice...there is no saturation....nice for me!

Sennheiser is top quality, cant go wrong. This item was no exceptionm have used several times in my mentalism shows. Great sound quality
