Is there a ground for the wiring?

Dear, thanks for your question. Our LED flush mount ceiling light fixture doesn't have a ground wire. Its shell is fire-resistant PC. It is meaningless to have a ground wire. It's safe. Please use them with no worrying. Seller Support Service

Is this fixture appropriate for lighting a garage with a tall ceiling (14') or is it better for a smaller space?

I used these in a 10-1/2' high garage in just two locations just above the garage door because the clearances between the opening door and ceiling were so tight. No other taller fixture would clear the door. They are fairly bright, but they may not provide the lumens you want at 14', in my opinion. If just walking around, they'd be ok. But if you are doing any serious work, not so much.
