Will this fit standard snare drum stands?

No I do not think this will work for you. My son doesnt use a stand with any of the pads we've purchased. The larger one may work, but this one fits in the palm of your hand...

Does the light side have a concert snare feel and dark have a marching snare feel? I play both and am wandering is this is the pad for me

You are correct. The grey side is your typical concert snare, the darker side is much like a marching snare head

What is the thickness of the rubber on the soft side?

Not at home at the moment, so I can't measure. But from memory I'd say about 4 mm protrudes from the recess. I'll try and remember to measure it when I get home.

Do i need double sided? Dont know what black side is for
