This is the easiest most intuitive 7-day timer I have ever programmed. Such a pleasure. Took me minutes. Made me feel like a champion, instead of an idiot.Cord is skimpy, especially for an outdoor timer which are often plugged in to those covered outlets where you have to fight with the door if you ever want to use it.In many situations, due to the weight of this device and the short cord, you'll need to get another slightly longer cord for it to be practical. For example the cord isn't long enough to flatten out and enable you to screw the timer to the wall even though it has mickey mouse ears for just that purpose. This is all a shame of course because it's practically perfect from a human factors standpoint.By the way, in case you keep track of these things, the internal electronics are by intertec, which is a premier mfg of common household devices. I'd venture to say that every electrician, plumber, and mechanic in the country comes in contact with intertec products every day. And if you don't know about intertec it's because you never had to find out - their stuff almost never fails. I don't work for intertec. I'm not intending to advertise for them. It's just out of gratitude for their contributions to our lives that I take note of these things.

This programmable timer handles my fountain and string lights perfectly. Easy setup, reliable daily schedules, and the random mode adds security. Great value for the price!

I thought this timer would be suitable to control my Halloween display as it features similar controls to some timers I have hard wired to external lighting that I have (Intermatic). Unfortunately I was WAY wrong. Besides the “con” of it having a very short cord, there is simply no way to guarantee it’s programming. At best, it’s unreliable. Here’s why:1. UI - the UI is somewhat similar to the hardwired timers I have wired to my external lights, but there is an added layer of confusion; this is due to the manual and automatic features as well as the multitude of programs (8) that it features. This leads to my next point:2. It is NOT easy to program. I’ve been to my outlet several times in order for my lights to simply turn on. You must select the days in which the program should run as well as on the on and off times. This seems normal. However, this features 8 programs and if a program is set accidentally you will rack your brain trying to determine why.3. No smarts and who on this down earth needs 8 programs to run????? - what I mean is that if you were to mistakenly program a conflicting time, the system is not smart enough to indicate as such. Thus you’re simply wasting electricity as I found out when my displays ran for a weekend without turning off. Since the programs conflict, the timer stays in whatever default (in my case off).4. Auto On and Auto Off setting - why is this even there? Wouldn’t that just be manual? Yes. It would. This features a manual on/off and an auto on/off. This should be simplified to simply auto, manual on/off. Problem solved.5. Build quality - this is subpar at best and uses cheap internal components, yet is sold at a premium price. Since I tossed the box, I figured I couldn’t return it. I opened the boxed and subpar soldering (typical Chinese manufacturing) are not up to US codes. It’s likely “fine”, but again not code worthy. I wouldn’t feel comfortable with this connected to my house due to fire hazard.In the end this ended up in the trash and I went with a very simple timer instead as I want my display on at 19:00 and off at 23:00. Too many features with accessibility and usability tossed out the window to accommodate. Don’t trust the ratings.

This outdoor timer works great and is easy to set up. I like that I can program different schedules for each day of the week. It’s perfect for outdoor lights and other devices, and it has been very reliable so far. Definitely makes things more convenient!

I tried different timers that were wifi connected and had nothing but problems. This one is rather simple and it works. You just program it and you don't have to worry about a thing.I bought it for my hot tub in the winter months and brought it indoors to use on an air conditioner in the summer.I'm on a time of use plan here in Arizona and I needed to shut off between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. and it works like a charm

It works well easy to set up. The only thing I had to look up was how to switch from manual to automatic. Have to see if the display will still work at -20

This timer is awesome. I can set it to go off every day,mon-fri, or only a certain day. I use mine on the monday-friday setting for work as it gets cold in the winter and it helps jump start my truck for the cold(plugged in heater block). It's very easy to use and has a back up battery so when you unplug it or it accidentally unplugs itself you don't lose your settings
